CG AUDI SEEKS EXPANDED INTERNATIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NSCDC PERSONNEL
In a strategic move to further strengthen the professional capacity of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, has engaged the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, in a high-level virtual meeting.
The engagement focused on expanding international training, capacity-building and professional development opportunities for NSCDC personnel, in line with the Commandant General’s commitment to building a highly skilled, globally competitive and modern Civil Defence Corps.
As a member country of the ICDO, Nigeria continues to leverage international cooperation to strengthen its civil protection capabilities. The Commandant General emphasised the importance of exposing Corps personnel to global best practices, emerging technologies and contemporary approaches to disaster management, civil protection and critical national infrastructure security.
The engagement further underscores the NSCDC’s increasing focus on strategic international partnerships as a pathway to professional excellence and enhanced service delivery to Nigerians.
