On Tuesday, 7 July 2026 , the Liaison Officer conducted an unscheduled inspection visit to the Ibom Towers Residential Building, one of the flagship projects of His Excellency, the Governor, located at 31A Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, to assess the progress of construction.

During the inspection, the Liaison Officer was received by Mr. Marco Carta, Construction Manager, and Engr. Ralph Chine, Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Manager, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the project's current status. They outlined the extent of work completed, highlighted the ongoing phase of construction, and reaffirmed their commitment to meeting the approved timeline and delivering the project as scheduled.

Speaking during the visit, the Liaison Officer underscored the strategic importance of the Ibom Towers Residential Building to the successful implementation of the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency, the Governor . He commended the project team for the quality of work executed thus far and encouraged them to sustain the momentum to ensure the timely completion of the project.

NEW LIAISON OFFICER COMPLIMENTS GOV. UMO ENO ON DELIVERING ON HIS ARISE AGENDA.

The newly appointed Liasion officer to the Akwa Ibom State Liaison Office, Lagos, Mr. Anthony Uwemedimo Isonguyo Mcipm, who recently took over from Mr. Samuel Asuquo, has resumed duty in the Lagos office.

During the first general/familiarization meeting held with members of Staff in the Conference room of the liaison office, Mr. Anthony Isonguyo in his opening remarks applauded His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno Ph.D. for remaining committed to delivering positive impact across the border by executing visible and meaningful projects within the state and aligning great values and ideas.

Mr. Isonguyo, who is a seasoned administrator, hinted that he will propagate the Arise Agenda in Lagos and the world at large by operating a seamless, transparent, yet effective policy where every staff will be carried along.

He posited that Lagos Liaison office will be a bridge between the Government House in Uyo and the World.

The Liaison Officer who is well travelled mentioned that the Akwa Ibom International Airport is a selling point for the State and can compete effectively with other world class Airports.

He said he will make sure to garner investors to the State by educating them on the boundless opportunities in Akwa Ibom State. According to him, "we should be proud and make noise about the Governor's good works which is quite commendable."
As ambassadors of Akwa Ibom here in Lagos, teamwork, accountability and unity should be our priority.

Also addressing the staff members, the Chief Admin Officer, Mrs. Imeh Udo expressed a warm welcome to the new Liaison officer and assured him of the staff co-operation and promise to work assiduously to deliver effectively with good reports.

She highlighted different challenges that may hinder Staff productivity and called for urgent intervention which will aid staff members to work with ease.

I wish to bring to your notice that with effect from yesterday, 6th January, 2026, each copy of Akwa Ibom State Certificate of Origin issued by the Liaison Office, Lagos costs NGN5,000.00 (Five Thousand naira) only.

Government, during the last budget presentation increased the charges from #3,000. 00. The Appropriation bill was passed and assented to by His Excellency, the Governor on 6th January, 2026 as the 2026 Appropriation Law.

In view of the foregoing, we derive therefrom the lawful backing to implement the new price.
