I DISSOCIATE MYSELF FROM A MISLEADING POST ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA BY ONE AUSTIN OKAI
10TH FEBRUARY 2025.

My Attention Has Been Drawn To A Misleading And Malicious Publication Authored By Austin Okai, Aimed At Discrediting The Outstanding Leadership Of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo And Misrepresenting My Role As Commissioner For Humanitarian And Poverty Alleviation.

I Categorically Dissociate Myself From The Publication, Its Content, And Its Author, And I Strongly Condemn The Attempt To Incite Division And Spread Falsehoods Against A Government That Is Fully Committed To The Development Of Kogi State.

Unfortunately, Certain Individuals Continue To Resort To Propaganda And Baseless Accusations In Their Desperate Attempt To Undermine The Impressive Achievements Of Governor Ododo. His Excellency Is A Leader For All Kogites, Committed To Equity, Good Governance, And Rapid Socioeconomic Transformation Across The State. Since Assuming Office, Governor Ododo Has Championed Economic Prosperity, Infrastructural Advancement, And Social Welfare Reforms, Ensuring That No Region Of The State Or Community Is Left Behind.

His Excellency’s Administration Has Recorded Significant Progress In Road Construction, Education, Healthcare Delivery, And Security Enhancement. Under His Leadership, Kogi State Has Witnessed Unprecedented Improvements In Agriculture, Business Support Programs, And Social Interventions, Empowering Thousands Of Citizens. The Distribution Of Palliatives And Welfare Packages Has Been Handled Transparently And Efficiently, Reaching The Most Vulnerable Members Of Society Without Political Or Ethnic Bias.

As The Commissioner For Humanitarian And Poverty Alleviation, I Wish To Make It Abundantly Clear That My Ministry Remains Fully In Charge Of Its Responsibilities, Including The Purchase And Distribution Of Palliatives. Any Claim Suggesting Otherwise Is False, Baseless, And A Deliberate Attempt To Mislead The Public.

I, Therefore, Urge The Good People Of Kogi State To Disregard The Divisive And Unfounded Claims Made By Austin Okai And To Continue Supporting Governor Ododo’s Administration As He Tirelessly Works To Build A More Prosperous And United Kogi State.

Our esteemed Commissioner of Kogi State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hajia Rabietu Okute, once again demonstrated her unwavering commitment to the well-being of the people of Kogi State. In her latest outreach initiative, she paid heartwarming visits to three key institutions: the Margaret Ohiani Orphanage Home, the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, and the Federal Medical Center.

Hajia Rabietu Okute's visit was not just symbolic; it was filled with genuine acts of kindness. She provided these institutions with essential gifts, aimed at supporting the critical work they do every day. We witnessed an inspiring act of kindness as the Honorable Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hajia Rabietu Okute, visited three remarkable orphanages in Kogi State: Ministry of Mercy Orphanage, Stagi Cornerstone Christian Home, and Rehoboth Children’s Home.
At each stop, Hajia Rabietu brought not just material support, but also love and encouragement to the children who call these places home. Her warm interactions with the children and staff highlighted her deep commitment to ensuring that every child in Kogi State feels valued, cared for, and given the opportunity to thrive.
