SOME OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS RECORDED UNDER BARRISTER KAKA SHEHU LAWAL esq AS COMMISSIONER FOR JUSTICE/ENVIRONMENT
The Honourable Attorney General (HAG1)his hard work and compassion to work made him a star in this cabinet of a progressive train led by a quintessential leader Prof Babagana umara zullum mni.
He is not only a distinguished outstanding and successful legal practitioner, but a large hearted politician who already at his career in Public service have indeed played a significant role in keeping the Environment and Justice ministry in Borno State on track and he is determined to continue making positive impact.
However,it is was no coincidence when our great leader his Excellency Professor Babagana Umara Zulum upon realising the "decayedness" and gap in the judicial and environmental sector manned it with a dedicated,diligent and indefatigable personality who distinguished himself over time,this individual is no other than Barrister Kakashehu Lawan.
over the years we are all in wonderment over his milestone achievements in ministry of justice and environment ministry which are not limited to the following;
**Banning of illegal motor parks, illegal structures and buildings that usually gives a safe heaven to criminal elements,
**Formation and overseeing of the civilian task force ( CJTF)
** Resettlement of IDP,s to their various LGA,s eg.Damasak,kukawa,Baga,cross kauwa,mairari and rest
**Restructuring of the judicial system in in the state
**Fumigation of Maiduguri and its environs against mosquitoes and other vectors,
**Sanctioning of Environmental law offenders,
**Clearing drainages to ensure free flow of water to avoid erosion and stagnant water on the road
** Creating hundreds of direct labour jobs to our teeming youths,
** Creation of Monthly sanitation exercise and sanctioning of offenders,
**Equipping BOSEPA with state of the art facilities to enable them carryout their work deligently.
**Demolition of structures in water bodies and way as well as banning the construction of new ones,
Putting measures in place that will avert flood and erosion.
**Planting of trees,and
Putting life back to Sanda Kyarimi Park (ZOO) the list of achievements continue sir.
**Enlightening and educating the public using Radio and Television on the dangers Of blocking water ways and the need to keep the environment clean.
The sagacious efforts of the honourable commissioner in both administrations is clear to all and sundry by his transformational agenda and genuine loyalty to his principles, The general evacuation of drainages,massive construction of concrete drainages within the metropolis,and the general monthly sanitation and more are all speaking for him and the populous are grateful for that.
It is also on record,Hon Kashehu is the only single entity in the history of Borno State to lead two key Ministries in government both as Commissioner under two different administrations the Distinguish Senator kashim Shettima era and the present administration of khadimul Ummah and an erudite scholar Prof Babagana Umara Zulum whom in both administration held two badges "Commissioner of justice and Commissioner of Environment".
The progress recorded in the Ministry of justice and Environment is unprecedented on his emergence as the head of the Ministry.
Having someone like you in the public service with espouse moral, social, educational and religious values is very rare in our contemporary society of today. A man of principle, honesty, integrity, valour and hardwork.
Adopting barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan as the concensus candidate is one of the best thing that has happened to Borno central and the state at large.
We all wish him Allah's guidance and the very best in the upcoming 2023 elections.
