Governor Zulum launches BOSCHMA Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) Programme
Borno State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (BOSCHMA) Designed the programme Themed: Ensuring "Health Citizenry" Through Sustainable Health Care Financing in Borno (a self reliant & sustainable healthcare financing for all citizens.
The Comissioner of Health Hon. Juliana Bitrus in her address iterated the aim and objecive of the BOSCHMA is to provide affordable and proper health care finance and services to compliment the effort of the Zulum administration on provision of sustainable and proper health care delivery services as a reflection of the NHIS.
The President of the Common wealth Medical Association who doubles as President World Medical Association Dr. Osahon Enabulele in his remarks commemded the governor's efforts towards the provision of quality and afforfable health care system, etsablishment of BOSCHMA and development in the state, urged the government and the Agency not to hesitate in seeking for consultations from Other health organizations to checkmate any troubling issues which may come into play.
His Excellency in his Remark stated that health care provision as a key agenda of his administration and a pillar of the 25 Year development plan has been allocated 9% of the 2022 fiscal Budget. The BOSCHMA has so far Accreditated 177 PHCs and about 47,000 beneficiaries across the state further expressing his delight on the achievements of the agency and the health sector in general.
Gov. Zulum further directed the immediate commencement of deductions of insurance fees from the civil servants and urged for proper deliverance of quality medical services to the beneficiaries. Appreciated the NARD for the Award and urged the state Health outfits to adhere to the commitment of the government towards achievement of sustainable, adequate and affordable health care services.
