During the interactive session, the officers enlightened the students on the harmful effects of substance abuse on their health, education, and future aspirations. They also taught practical safety tips, including personal security awareness, how to identify potential threats, and the importance of reporting suspicious activities to appropriate authorities.

BENUE STATE COMMAND EMBARKS ON KINETIC APPROACH TO SAFE SCHOOL INITIATIVE
The Benue State Command of Man O' War Nigeria has intensified efforts towards ensuring the safety and security of students across the state through a kinetic approach to the Safe School Initiative.
This development is in line with the mandate of the National Commander of Man O' War Nigeria aimed at promoting safer learning environments and protecting students from emerging social and security threats.
The initiative was recently demonstrated at Ewule College, Otukpo, where the Area Commander, accompanied by other officers of the organisation, paid a working visit to the institution. During the visit, the officers held an interactive session with the school management, staff, and students on issues relating to safety and security within the school environment.
Addressing the students, the officers highlighted the dangers associated with the consumption of illicit drugs and other harmful substances. They warned that drug abuse remains a major threat to the future of young people and often leads to poor academic performance, criminal behaviour, health complications, and other social vices.
The team also educated the students on various safety measures, including personal security awareness, the importance of reporting suspicious activities, avoiding peer pressure, and maintaining discipline both within and outside the school premises.
Speaking during the session, the Area Commander reaffirmed the commitment of Man O' War Nigeria, Benue State Command, to supporting schools through continuous sensitisation programmes, security awareness campaigns, and youth development initiatives aimed at fostering responsible citizenship among students.
