HON. SHAMSUDEEN MUHAMMAD SAYAYA CONDOLES WITH THE FAMILY OF LATE MAJOR GENERAL RABE ABUBAKAR (RTD)

The Executive Chairman of Matazu Local Government Council, Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya (Ruwa Baba), Sarkin Yakin Matazu, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar (Rtd), who passed away after being abducted by bandits.

The Chairman expressed his deep sorrow and grief over this tragic loss and prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the deceased, showers His mercy upon him, expands and illuminates his grave, and grants him Aljannatul Firdausi as his final abode.

Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya stated that, as the Chairman of Matazu Local Government where the incident occurred, he made every possible effort, working tirelessly day and night in collaboration with security agencies and other relevant stakeholders, to ensure the safe rescue of the deceased.

He further sympathized with the family, friends, and the entire people of Katsina State over this great loss and prayed that Almighty Allah grants them the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.

May Almighty Allah forgive the late Major General Rabe Abubakar (Rtd), have mercy upon him, and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdausi. Ameen.

FRIDAY MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF MATAZU LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The Executive Chairman of Matazu Local Government, Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya (Ruwa Baba Sarkin Yakin Matazu), extends his warm Friday greetings to the entire Muslim Ummah, especially the good people of Matazu Local Government.

The Chairman prayed that Almighty Allah accepts our acts of worship, forgives our shortcomings, and blesses us with peace, mercy, and abundant blessings on this sacred Friday.

Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya urged the people to continue promoting unity, patience, and mutual support, while strengthening peaceful coexistence and harmony among members of the community for sustainable development in the local government area.

He also emphasized the importance of continuous prayers for peace, security, unity, and progress in Matazu Local Government, Katsina State, and Nigeria as a whole.

The Chairman stated that peace remains the foundation of every meaningful development; therefore, everyone must contribute towards maintaining peace, stability, and mutual understanding within society.

Furthermore, Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working tirelessly towards improving the welfare of the people, enhancing living standards, and bringing developmental projects that will benefit communities across Matazu Local Government.

The Executive Chairman of Matazu Local Government Council, Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya (Ruwa Baba Sarkin Yakin Matazu), extends his warm felicitations to the entire Muslim Ummah, especially the people of Matazu Local Government Area, on the occasion of the 1447AH / 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The Chairman urged the people to continue embracing the teachings of Islam, including patience, peace, unity, and mutual support, particularly during this festive period.

Hon. Sayaya reaffirmed his commitment to working tirelessly towards ensuring sustainable development, security, and the welfare of the people of Matazu Local Government.

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF MATAZU LOCAL GOVERNMENT ATTENDS THE AFFIRMATION CEREMONY OF THE GOVERNOR OF KATSINA STATE

The Executive Chairman of Matazu Local Government Council, Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya, attended the affirmation ceremony of the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for a second term ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya led a strong delegation from Matazu Local Government Area to the event. The delegation included the Vice Chairman of Matazu Local Government, key stakeholders of the local government, elected and appointed councillors, advisers to the Executive Chairman, the APC Chairman of Matazu Local Government, delegates, and numerous APC supporters from different parts of the local government area.

During the event, the delegation reaffirmed its unwavering support and loyalty to the leadership of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda and expressed confidence in the developmental achievements recorded under his administration across Katsina State.

MATAZU LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL PRESS RELEASE

The Executive Chairman of Matazu Local Government Council, Hon. Shamsuddeen Muhammad Sayaya (Sarkin Yakin Matazu II), paid a visit to the women’s vocational training center located near Matazu C Primary School in Nasarawa Ward, within Matazu Local Government Area.

During the visit, the Executive Chairman expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment and dedication shown by the women participating in the training. He also commended the organization and smooth coordination of the program.

Furthermore, he instructed the officer in charge of the training center, Hajiya Hafsat Abdullahi, to keep records of women who fail to attend the training regularly so they can be identified and replaced with other interested beneficiaries from the community.

Speaking on her part, Hajiya Hafsat Abdullahi stated that 100 women were selected from the 10 wards of Matazu Local Government Area to participate in the program. They are being trained in five different vocational skills, which include:

Shoe making
Tailoring
Cosmetics and beauty products
Catering and cooking
Handicrafts (Baskets)

She also expressed her gratitude to the Executive Chairman of Matazu Local Government, Hon. Shamsuddeen Muhammad Sayaya, for his continuous support and assistance at all times. She assured him that they would remain loyal to the government and continue implementing all development programs and initiatives as planned.

Hon. Shamsuddeen Muhammad Sayaya was warmly received by Malam Lawal Hamza and members of his family. During the visit, he offered prayers and supplicated to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdausi, and have mercy upon all departed Muslims.

The Executive Chairman of Matazu Local Government, Hon. Shamsudeen Muhammad Sayaya, Ruwa Baba Sarkin Yakin Matazu II, attended the affirmation ceremony of Hon. Kabir Faruku Matazu as the APC candidate for the Katsina State House of Assembly seat representing Matazu Local Government ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

A member of the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Yakubu Maccido, commended party supporters in Matazu Local Government Area for their unity, loyalty, and political maturity.

Dr. Maccido made the remarks shortly after the affirmation of Hon. Kabir Faruku Matazu as the APC candidate for the Katsina State House of Assembly seat representing Matazu in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections.

He further urged party supporters and residents of the area to continue supporting and voting for the APC in order to sustain the dividends of democracy being enjoyed under the leadership of the party.

Earlier, the APC Stakeholders Chairman in Matazu Local Government, Alhaji Abdu Dan Shehu Matazu, disclosed that Hon. Kabir Faruku Matazu secured 83 votes in accordance with the party’s guidelines and procedures.

During the visit, the group discussed important issues aimed at promoting development in Matazu Local Government, particularly in the areas of improving the welfare of the people and empowering the youths for a better future.
