Yesterday, I had the pleasure of welcoming guests in my hometown of Evuti after observing the Eid al-Adha prayers. Among them were party faithfuls, religious leaders, and youth associations. We had a robust discussion centered around the well-being of our people and Lapai at large. I also welcomed prominent members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) from Evuti/Kpada ward, who were inspired by my people-centered vision and formally defected to our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). By and large, the journey for the is gaining widespread acceptance and I'm grateful for the support, especially from those promoting the cause since inception.

On this blessed Eid al-Adha, I join the Muslim ummah in celebrating the spirit of sacrifice, faith, and unity exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Today, we honor his obedience and devotion to Allah, reflecting on the values of selflessness, charity, and compassion. May this Eid inspire us to strengthen our bonds, share blessings with the less privileged, and uphold the principles of love and togetherness.

The past five days have brought grief to our beloved Niger State. We have never experienced a disaster of this magnitude, with over 150 lives lost, more than 400 people still missing, and countless properties destroyed by the Mokwa flood. My heart is heavy as I extend my condolence to Hon. Jubril Muregi and the entire people of Mokwa. May the departed find eternal peace, and may Allah grant the grieving families strength to endure this immense loss.

We are eight days away from the commencement of public campaign by political parties as scheduled by Niger State Independedent Electoral Commission (NSIEC). However, my people in Lapai will not have it; they have gone all out to promote my aspiration beyond the media space.
