BREAKTIME SAFETY TIP!
BREAK TIME IS FOR EATING, GISTING & RESTING โ NOT FOR STARTING A FIRE! ๐
Dear hardworking champions, as you rush for your lunch break, please remember: the fire extinguisher is not part of the lunch menu! ๐ญ๐
Before you abandon your workstation in search of that delicious plate of rice:
๐ณ Check the kitchen/cooker: If you were cooking or heating anything, switch it off properly before leaving.
๐ Unplug what doesn't need to stay on: Don't let your office appliances continue working overtime while you are busy eating.
Keep flammable materials away from heat: Papers, cartons, chemicals and other combustible materials should not be having a "close relationship" with hot equipment. ๐
๐ฌ If you smoke, dispose of cigarette butts properly: Please don't turn the waste bin into a surprise bonfire.
No unattended flames: If there's any open flame, make sure it's completely extinguished before you walk away.
Keep exits and fire equipment accessible: Don't block the emergency exit with your lunch bag, carton or that mysterious office chair nobody wants to claim. ๐
And finally...
If your colleague says, "Abeg, help me watch this food, I'll be back in 2 minutes" โ WATCH THE FOOD!
Enjoy your break, eat well, gist responsibly and return to work with your stomach fullโnot the office full of smoke! ๐ญ๐
Stay alert. Stay safe. Prevent fire before it starts.
