Today (10th June, 2023) at his maitama residence, His Excellency Engr Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso receives NNPP gubernatorial candidate for Katsina State alongside House of Representatives member for Bindawa/Mani constituency of Katsina state, Hon. I was at Katsina earlier today, where I saw the below building near Alkalam University, the building was carrying Kwankwasiyya inscriptions on it. When I asked one of my friend why was the building named after Kwankwasiyya, he told me that it was built by Sen Kwankwaso when his administration sent 500 kano indigenes to study in Alkalam University. The purpose of the building was to serve as Hostel in order accommodate some of the 500 students. I also learnt that apartments were rented for the rest of the students, after the then government of Kwankwaso shared Laptops for all the students.

Not only in Alkalam University, if you go to Unimaid, ABU, Danfodio and many other Universities such Kwankwasiyya hostels are there for Kano students. I was told that of Unimaid was built for Kano Medicine students in the school.

Evidently, these are some of the reasons why majority of Kano people are in support of Kwankwaso because we voted for him as Kano state Governor but his achievements are almost all over the northern states and abroad.
