AS HEADS TO PRIMARY ELECTIONS!

Like I have said to many people, NDC should be interested in individuals who on their own have the capacity, character, competence and to win election on their own.

NDC should not pay attention to individuals who lack genuine goodwill toward the masses but are presently expending resources indiscriminately. Such persons are only seeking to exploit the Mr. Peter Obi and to secure electoral victory, after which they will abandon the party, as was evident in 2023.

For the forthcoming 2027 elections, Peter Obi himself needs all the of other candidates he can get to make his own election seamless.

An Urgent Appeal to All Sons, Daughters, and Friends of Nsukka and Igbo-Eze South.

Tomorrow, Friday 29th May, 2027 at St. Theresa's Cathedral Nsukka, the NDC will hold its primary election to select a candidate for the House of Representatives.

While many of us reading this may not reside within the Nsukka or Igbo-Eze South local governments, or hold membership in the NDC party, we still hold a powerful stake in the outcome.

The quality of leadership we get at the federal level affects every single one of us, regardless of party lines.

The truth is simple: The Odera Project has outgrown partisan politics. Barr. Tony Okechi Ugwu is no longer just a party candidate; he is a community asset. If the Nigerian Constitution allowed for independent candidacy, Odera is the kind of leader who would run and win on the strength of his character alone. He belongs to the people, not just a political platform.

Our Action Plan: The Power of Influence.
We may not be registered members of NDC to vote tomorrow, but we have phones, and we have networks. We all have family members, friends, colleagues etc who are registered NDC members within Nsukka and Igbo-Eze South.

This is our call to action:
Pick up your phone right now. Call every contact you have in Nsukka and Igbo-Eze South who holds influence in tomorrow’s primaries.
Urge them to vote for Barr. Tony Okechi Ugwu (Odera).

Remind them that a vote for Odera is a vote for proven capacity, structural development, and a leader who has consistently lifted others up. Let us use our collective voices to guide the hands of those voting tomorrow.
Let the calls begin now. Let us secure a brighter future for our constituency, together.

Today is about you sir, your life, your impact, and the goodwill you’ve built across Igbo Nsukka and beyond.

It’s hard to ignore what’s happening on the ground. The calls, the meetings, the conversations everywhere — people from all corners of the world are openly saying that they want you to step forward and contest for the House of Representatives for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency. This kind of clamour doesn’t come from slogans. It comes from years of showing up, solving problems, and earning trust without a microphone.

As the clamour and yearning continues, I know that leadership isn’t about being pushed into a role. It’s about knowing when the moment and the person align. For now, the people are speaking clearly: they see in you someone who understands their struggles, speaks their language, and has the capacity to push their interests at the national level.

So on your birthday, I celebrate the man first; the leader, the community man, the one who listens.
