Semihallahu Ere-Ododo Muslim Association and Cooperative Endorses Governor Ademola Adeleke for Second Term
The Osun State Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon. Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe (FCSSM), on Saturday represented the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, at the second-term endorsement programme organised by the Semihallahu Ere-Ododo Muslim Association (SEMA) and Non-Interest Cooperative Society, in conjunction with the Osun State Cooperative Movement.
The well-attended event, held at the Ede City Hall, drew members of the cooperative movement, religious leaders, community stakeholders, and supporters of the Governor, who unanimously declared their support for the re-election of Governor Adeleke, citing his administration's remarkable achievements in governance, economic development, and cooperative revitalisation.
Speaking at the event, the President of Semihallahu Ere-Ododo Muslim Association and Cooperative, Alhaji Imam Abdulsemiu Hussein Gbadegesin Adebayo, commended Governor Adeleke for what he described as a transformational leadership that has restored hope to the people of Osun State.
According to him, the Governor has successfully turned the state's economy around through prudent management of resources, while recording remarkable achievements in the resuscitation of cooperative societies across the state. He noted that the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Empowerment and the implementation of various cooperative-friendly policies have revived the cooperative sector, expanded access to revolving loans, and empowered thousands of residents.
Alhaji Adebayo further applauded Governor Adeleke for combining economic reforms with massive infrastructural development, noting that road construction, flyovers, schools, healthcare facilities, and other critical projects being executed across Osun State are clear evidence of a government committed to delivering dividends of democracy to the people.
He affirmed that the endorsement by SEMA and its cooperative society was a demonstration of appreciation for the Governor's outstanding performance and an expression of confidence in his ability to consolidate on the achievements already recorded if re-elected for a second term.
Representing Governor Adeleke, Hon. Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe expressed the Governor's heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and members of SEMA, the cooperative movement, and all supporters for the overwhelming endorsement.
The Commissioner described the endorsement as a strong validation of the Governor's unwavering commitment to empowering citizens through cooperative development and inclusive economic policies. He reaffirmed that the Adeleke administration would continue to strengthen cooperative institutions, expand empowerment programmes, create more opportunities for women and youths, and sustain infrastructural development across the state.
Hon. Ogungbangbe assured the gathering that Governor Adeleke remains committed to fulfilling his promises and ensuring that every community in Osun State benefits from the dividends of good governance.
The event concluded with special prayers for the continued peace, unity, and prosperity of Osun State, as well as prayers for the success of Governor Ademola Adeleke's re-election bid.
