- Osun APC Slams Accord Party

The Governorship Election Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress APC candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has cautioned the state chapter of the Accord Party to desist from playing a dirty politics with the death of a fellow human being in a circumstance which is yet to be unravelled by the police and other statutory security services in the state.

It is uncharitable, wicked and inhuman of the campaign committee wing of the re-election bid of Governor Ademola Adeleke to willingly embark on the threatening of the security of the state out of the its desperation to sell their difficult candidate who has recorded abysmal failure in its close to four years in the office.

This deliberate act of misinformation to feed the innocent people of the state with falsehoods in order to gain unmerited political advantage by the failed administration of Governor Adeleke is now shaking the peace of the state to its foundation.

Must a misfit dabble into an act of selling the most difficult candidate-governor ever in the political history of this country forgetting that a profession is a body of know unknown to a layman?

Loading of the death of a young man, one Eluyera Kolade, an alleged son of the Accord Party women leader, in the Irewole Local Government Council Area of Osun State, on some members of our party by the Adeleke re-election campaign council was frivolous, fabricated and a ploy to call a dog a bad name in order to hang it as violence and brigandage have not been the hallmark of the APC at all its levels.

While we are sympathising with the family of the deceased over the loss of the young man, we enjoin the police to do a thorough investigation on the unfortunate incident with a view to bringing to book whoever might have a hand in the needless gruesome killing.

The Osun State chapter of the Accord Party which has been nefariously feasting on the wicked killing of Kolade at the Onireke Campus Road, Ikire, should be useful to the police during the course of their investigation.

Our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), is a perfect gentleman who cannot hurt a fly and who does not even have desperation in his political dictionary.

The verifiably confused Accord Party team in Osun State that is operating in the political wilderness with the fear of the imminent loss of their perpetually-dependent governorship candidate has been looking for any item to hold on to in order to sell their utmost impossible and hard-to-sell gubernatorial candidate.

This latest false accusation of the hopeless Accord Party team is a mere replay of their false accusation just last week against some of our members of planning to assassinate Mr. Adebayo Adeleke, alias B- Red who is one the sons of Governor Adeleke which the police investigation proved to be false.

We haven't forgotten the fact that it was in the same Ikire that the political hoodlums of the defunct PDP that changed its colour to the Accord Party gruesomely murdered Honourable Remi Abass, the reinstated APC chairman of Irewole Local Government Council Area, sometime ago.

We want to state without mincing words that the political ambition of our ever-resourceful and pragmatic governorship candidate is not worth the blood of any person in the society.

The lying machine of the Accord Party in the state should go back to their drawing board and cook another lies against our governorship candidate who is vantagely and divinely positioned to chase out the unpopular and relatively unknown Accord Party governorship candidate through the legitimate votes of the good people of Osun State on the 15th August, 2026 as this latest onslaught has hit the rocks as usual.

Billboard Destruction: Osun APC Accuses Adeleke Government of Self-Vandalism, Diversionary Politics Amid EFCC Investigation of Chief of Staff, Accountant-General

The attention of the Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council has been drawn to a statement credited to the Imole Campaign Council alleging that our party is fueling violence and vandalism across the state, particularly with claims that our supporters vandalized campaign billboards and promotional materials belonging to Governor Ademola Adeleke and his party.

We state unequivocally that this allegation is false, baseless, and a desperate attempt to “hang a dog in order to give it a bad name.” If anything, it is the campaign billboards and promotional materials of our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), that have suffered relentless destruction at the hands of political thugs visibly linked to the Osun State Government and its sanguinary Accord Party.

This latest falsehood, self-vandalizing billboard and turning around to blame our party, is another diversionary tactic from the coven of economic buccaneers feeding fat on the resources of Osun State, whose sole objective is to distract public attention from the monumental failures and corruption allegations trailing the Adeleke administration.

In the last few days, the public space has been inundated with reports concerning the arrest and detention of the Chief of Staff to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye; the Accountant-General of Osun State, Mr. Rasheed Olalere Alabi and other key officials of the current administration.

These officials are reportedly being investigated over the alleged mismanagement of federal allocations and special intervention funds accrued to the state in the last three years.

Specifically, there are allegations bordering on the diversion and expenditure without appropriation of the N14.9 billion ecological fund meant for victims of rainstorms and floods, diversion of the N2 billion Federal Government grant intended for the procurement of modern buses, as well as the alleged diversion of over N100 billion belonging to local governments in Osun State.

Expectedly, the people of Osun are deeply angered by these disturbing revelations, especially when contrasted with the visible achievements recorded by the APC-led local governments, which recently distributed over 300 motorcycles and procured 90 Hilux vehicles for security agencies across the state---an achievement the Adeleke administration has failed to match despite accessing N14.9 billion in security votes.

Faced with mounting public outrage and increasing criticism from civil society groups and concerned residents, the troubled Adeleke administration now appears determined to resort to self-vandalism, propaganda, and concocted allegations against the opposition in a futile bid to gain public sympathy and shift attention from its woeful performance.

The people of Osun are not deceived by these cheap diversionary tactics. They have seen through the pretence and theatrics of the current administration and are eagerly awaiting August 15 to democratically vote out this rudderless government that has inflicted untold hardship and suffering on the people.

On the government's latest falsehood, the relevant security authorities have been briefed and we hope the right thing will be done without any delay.

Today, the Campaign Director-General of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, led members of the party’s campaign committee alongside key stakeholders to the palace of His Imperial Majesty, the Oluwo of Iwoland, in a bid to seek royal blessings ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State.

The visit was part of ongoing consultations aimed at garnering the support of traditional rulers across Ayedire, Iwo, and Olaoluwa Local Government Areas. The delegation emphasized the significance of engaging royal fathers as custodians of culture and influential voices within their communities, noting their critical role in mobilizing grassroots support for the party.

“Osun People, Not Fear, Will Shape the Future” Civil Servants Urged to Trust Inclusive Leadership_

Ikire, Osun State – Osun civil servants and members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) have been urged to reject fear and focus on a united future for the state ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

The call emphasized that the destiny of Osun workers should not be dictated by anxiety over political change, but by the collective will of the people.

“No fear of the unknown can determine the future of Osun civil servants. It is the people of Osun who will set the course for their tomorrow,” the statement read.

*On NULGE and Political Alignment*
It was noted that every citizen and association has the constitutional right to support any political party or candidate.

“However, such support must be exercised within the framework of civil service rules and professional neutrality,” the statement added.

*On Worker Welfare and Past Policies*
Addressing concerns about past salary issues, the statement explained that the modulated salary policy implemented during the previous administration was a difficult, conditional measure taken in response to the economic realities at the time.

“The then PDP-led government bears primary responsibility for the policies of that era. At the time, the governing party at the state level accepts collective responsibility. Our prayer is that Osun and Nigeria will never again face such economic hardship or leadership choices.”

*Call for Unity and Professionalism*
Osun NULGE and civil servants were commended for their service, with an appeal for professionalism and avoidance of actions that could be seen as partisan or disruptive to governance.

The incoming administration is expected to lead an inclusive government — one that forgives, carries everyone along, and does not punish anyone for past political choices. Workers are urged to tread carefully and have confidence in the process.
