It was a privilege to join distinguished party leaders, fellow Honourables, elected representatives, and political stakeholders at the PGF-ALGON National General Assembly and the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Anchored on the theme “Renewed Hope, Cooperative Federalism and Shared Prosperity,” the gathering reinforced the importance of collaboration, responsive leadership, and people centred governance in building a more prosperous nation.

As the APC Candidate for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, I remain committed to the progressive ideals of our great party and to a vision of representation that puts people first, amplifies their voices, and translates their aspirations into meaningful progress.

Our journey is about service, opportunity, and building a future where every community has a reason to hope and every citizen has an opportunity to thrive.

On Monday, I joined stakeholders and advocates in commemorating the 2026 International Day of the Girl Child in Ogun State, under the theme “End Child Marriage and Invest in Girls’ Rights.”

The event was a timely reminder that every girl deserves to grow up in a safe environment, access quality education and healthcare, and enjoy the rights and opportunities she needs to fulfil her potential.

Having served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ogun State, advocating for the welfare, protection and empowerment of women and children remains a cause close to my heart. I believe that the progress of any society depends, in part, on how well it protects its girls and invests in their future.

We must continue to work together to end child marriage, protect girls from all forms of abuse, and create opportunities for them to become confident, educated and empowered women.

Healthy Girls. Educated Girls. Empowered Girls. Brighter Futures.

When we protect the rights of our girls today, we build stronger families, communities and a better future for generations to come.

SENATOR YAYI DELIVERS OLOMU–OSOSUN ROAD, BRINGS RELIEF TO RESIDENT

In continuation of his people-oriented infrastructure interventions across the State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola YAYI. CON, FCA, FCTI has completed and delivered the Olomu–Ososun Road in Ifo Local Government Area, bringing much-needed relief to residents and road users.

Previously characterised by deplorable conditions, the completed which would now aid smooth mobility and boost economic activities, thereby reconnecting communities and easing the daily movement of residents, traders and motorists.

The successful delivery of the project further underscores Senator YAYI’s commitment to purposeful representation, grassroots development and infrastructure that directly impacts the lives of the people. Beyond easing transportation difficulties, the intervention is expected to stimulate local economic activities, strengthen community connectivity and create better opportunities for residents.

As part of our ongoing political engagement,it was a day of meaningful consultation, royal engagement and grassroots connection as I joined the APC Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Salisu Afolabi Shuaib (SAS), and the Ewekoro State Constituency Candidate, Hon. Abiodun Adeleye, in engaging traditional rulers, Baales, CDC executives and community leaders in Ewekoro Local Government. In the train of the engagement were Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, Hon. Sina Egberongbe, Engr. Babatunde Adesina, Chairman, Odeda LGA, Dr. Adeyemo Folasade, Chief Muraino Banjoko, among other party leaders and stakeholders. It was a valuable opportunity to listen, connect and strengthen the bonds between our political family and the communities we seek to further serve.

I am deeply encouraged by the goodwill and confidence expressed by our traditional institutions and community stakeholders. From the commendation of the Olu of Itori, Oba Fatai Akorede Akamo, to the strong words of support from community leaders, including Engr. Isaiah Olayemi, Baale of Oremeji, and the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, there is growing confidence in our capacity, experience and commitment to serve with distinction.

For me, this is the essence of grassroots politics, building bridges before building ballots, listening before speaking, and creating partnerships that outlive the moment. The warmth of our traditional institutions, the candour of our community leaders, monarchs and the enthusiasm of our people reaffirm the strength of the bonds we are building across the Federal Constituency.

The streets of Ifo/Ewekoro came alive with youthful energy, unity and determination as the APC Youth Movement took to the streets in a massive 5,000-Youth Mega Solidarity Walk. Beyond the impressive numbers, the walk was a powerful expression of the readiness of the youth to take ownership of the political process and contribute meaningfully to the future of our Federal Constituency and the Gateway State. I sincerely appreciate the organisers, youth leaders and every Stakeholders who turned out to make the mobilisation a resounding success.

A special appreciation goes to the Olu of Itori, Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo, for graciously receiving us when we paid homage to the palace and for the royal blessings bestowed upon us before and during the commencement of the walk. I am equally grateful to our wonderful market women who welcomed us with remarkable warmth and enthusiasm as we engaged them in heartfelt conversations along the route. Those moments of connection, listening and shared goodwill were a beautiful reminder that at the heart of every political journey are the people and their everyday aspirations.

As we move closer to the elections, the energy of our youths must translate into sustained grassroots engagement across our wards and communities. Our young people are not merely spectators; they are important stakeholders in shaping the future we desire. Let us therefore preserve this spirit of unity, organisation and commitment as we continue to mobilise, connect and work together for the success of all APC Candidates in the forthcoming elections..

10 years of impact and progress in women’s emancipation is certainly worthy of rolling out the drums! Yesterday, I joined women and stakeholders at the 10th Voice of Women Conference & Awards (VOW2026), where I also had the privilege of serving as a panelist. Over the years, the Voice of Women platform has been a platform where I have learnt, grown, connected and mixed with like-minded women, while sharing my own experiences and journey to encourage and mentor the generation coming behind us.

I specially commend the Convener, Mrs. Toun Okewale Sonaiya, for her remarkable consistency and passion for advancing the cause of women. For a decade, the platform has remained a veritable space for women to speak, connect, learn, inspire and support one another. Its impact goes beyond the annual gathering; it continues to create visibility and opportunities for women to participate more meaningfully in leadership, governance and the conversations shaping our society.

As we celebrate the remarkable milestone, I am reminded that every woman who has been given a platform has a responsibility to create room for another. We must continue to use our voices, experiences and positions to open doors, mentor younger women and encourage them to step confidently into leadership.

Congratulations to Women Radio 91.7FM, the Voice of Women Empowerment Foundation and the entire VOW team on 10 years of impact, progress and purposeful advocacy. Indeed, this is worthy of rolling out the drums!
