Today, I joined other party faithful at the inauguration of the ADJYAYI Independent Campaign Group (AICG), a commendable initiative dedicated to strengthening grassroots mobilisation and supporting the collective success of our great party, particularly that of the Party Gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. I commend the organisers for their commitment to building a movement founded on unity, inclusion and purposeful engagement at the grassroot.

While appreciating the overwhelming goodwill and support expressed towards my candidacy, I reiterate that this gathering is not the formal launch of my campaign. Although INEC has lifted restrictions on campaigns for Presidential and National Assembly candidates, I will continue to respect the direction of our partyl. When the time comes, we shall officially commence our campaign with a clear vision and a message of hope, service and inclusive representation.

I sincerely appreciate the distinguished dignitaries and party leaders who graced the occasion with their presence, goodwill and solidarity, particularly, Chairman, Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission,
Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, Chairman, Apex Leader, Ifo LGA, Aare Babatunde Alabi, Chief Muraino Banjoko, Prince Dapo Adeyemi, Vice Chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Alhaja Aliu Abisola, Ogun Central Senatorial Women Leader, Mrs. Kikelomo Delano; State Women Leader, Hajia Aminat Adigun, State Women Leader, representative, YAYI Door-to-Door Movement, Ifo, Mrs. Adesola Okunseinde, a former House of Representative Aspirant, Evans Dedenbula and the Convener, YAYI Progressive Partners, Chief Kehinde Oladini.

I am equally grateful to Chief Wole Enilolobo and the entire AICG family for this show of friendship, confidence and commitment.

The task ahead requires unity above individual ambition, organisation beyond election season and grassroots engagement. Women, young people, community leaders, former aspirants and every party member must have a place in this journey. Together, we must build the bridges, strengthen our structures and work collectively for victory.

The gains of democracy in our dear Gateway State received another remarkable national spotlight today with the visit of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme, the commissioning of the Muhammadu Buhari Estate at Kobape, Abeokuta, and the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a 250-bed ultra-modern hospital in Abeokuta.

It was a pleasure to join other dignitaries to witness these landmark events, which once again lend credence to the commitment of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration to delivering people-centred infrastructure, strengthening social welfare and improving the quality of life of citizens.

The First Lady’s visit, which also featured an engagement with major stakeholders at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, further reaffirmed our growing reputation as a State where purposeful leadership, progressive governance and inclusive development continue to translate vision into tangible results.

I had the honour of participating in the ongoing 26th Regular National Council on Women Affairs, Child Advancement and Social Development, held in Jalingo, Taraba State, alongside former colleagues and serving Commissioners for Women Affairs & Social Development from across the Federation.

The Council, themed: “Strengthening Families and Advancing the Care Economy for Inclusive Development: Operationalizing Nigeria's Renewed Social Protection Architecture,” provided an important platform for advancing policies and initiatives that strengthen families and improve the welfare of women, children, and vulnerable groups across the country.

On the special invitation of the Honourable Minister, Hajia Imman Sulaiman-Ibrahim, I had the opportunity to showcase the impressive strides of Ogun State under the purposeful leadership of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, particularly in the areas of women’s empowerment, child protection, social inclusion, and support for vulnerable citizens.

I was also proud to highlight our progressive commitment to gender equity and political inclusion, demonstrated by the Governor, Progressive leaders of our great Party, APC, through the unprecedented support extended to female aspirants during the last primary elections, cumulating into the emergence of two female candidates in the upcoming National Assembly elections, this further advances the State's commitment in inclusive governance.

A major highlight of the Council was the conferment of the prestigious “Award of Excellence as the Best Performing State for Women and Children” on the State. I was deeply honoured to receive the award on behalf of the State alongside Directors from the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. The recognition reflects the unwavering commitment of the Governor, the Ministry, development partners, and numerous stakeholders who continue to champion the cause of women, children, families, and vulnerable groups across the Gateway State.

Earlier today, I attended the Ogun State Progressive New Media Summit themed: “Defending the Truth, Advancing Renewed Hope and Shaping the Future of Ogun State with Senator Yayi”, held in Abeokuta.

I was honoured to serve as a panelist during the session on “Beyond the Timeline: What Next and How Far Can We Go as Social Media Handlers?” where we reflected on the evolution of new media in our dear State and its growing role in governance, accountability, citizen engagement, and shaping public discourse.

I shared the importance of moving beyond election-driven conversations by using digital platforms to promote objective narratives, constructive dialogue, and sustainable development; encouraging new media handlers to remain responsible, civil, and mindful of legal and ethical boundaries while engaging public office holders and discussing government policies.

I appreciate the organizers and all stakeholders behind this remarkable initiative for creating a platform that strengthens digital participation and drives a future where new media becomes a strong tool for progress, unity, and the continued advancement of the Gateway State and Nation at large.
