*From Paper to Digital: IIRS Deepens Partnership with Emblem Association*
The Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) today received members of the Emblem Association in a meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration, synergy, and mutual understanding between the Service and the association.
The Executive Chairman of the IIRS, Justice R. Okoye, warmly welcomed the delegation and, in his opening remarks, highlighted the importance of the meeting, noting that greater collaboration and synergy remain essential to achieving a more efficient and transparent revenue administration system in the State.
The Executive Chairman also introduced the new Uniform Sticker, which has now taken over from the traditional sale of emblems. He explained that the new sticker represents a more unified system, as it cuts across the states of the federation and is duly signed by the Federal Government.
Justice Okoye further emphasized that the new initiative is part of the Service’s broader transition from manual processes to digital and more efficient systems, stressing that the era of paper emblems has come to an end.
He urged members of the association to embrace the ongoing reforms and key into the Shared Prosperity Vision of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State, by supporting initiatives that promote transparency, efficiency, economic growth, and improved service delivery.
This is in line with the administration’s commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration, promoting digital transformation, improving ease of doing business, and building a more transparent and sustainable revenue system for the people of Imo State.
