"Doc?"said Candy as she looked up and saw him by the door"you really gotta stop popping up unanounced like this"she said to him
"would you have allowed me to come if i had asked?"he questioned her.
"no,of course not"she admitted
"my point exactly.."he said as he closed the door.
Candy got up from the chair and faced him
"what are you doing here?"she asked
"am getting married tomorrow"he told her
"exactly...so i ask again,what are you doing here?"she looked at him.
He didnt know what to say to her so he just started saying random things
"i am here for my wedding present"he said as he moved closer.Candy laughed
"wedding present?really?......ok,what do you want as a wedding present from me doc?"she asked him
"I dont know what i want...all i know is that you have something i want even though am not really sure what it is but i know you have it and i gotta have it"he said.
"now you are just confusing me"she said to him.
She looked him in his eyes and felt a warm feeling inside,
"you gotta go"she said as she tried to go to the door but he dragged her back by her waist and brought her close to him,too close for her comfort.
"am not leaving yet.."he said quietly
"what do you want from me?"she asked as she felt her heart racing.
Without saying a word he leaned in and kissed her,at first she tried to push him off but he was too strong and she eventually gave in.she kissed him back as if her life depended on it.
Gabriel moved from her lips to her neck,he tenderly kissed her neck as she received his kisses with pleasure while unbuttoning his shirt.she slowly started rubbing his chest and touching his nipples.Gabriel then unzipped her dress and watched it freely fall to the floor.he lifted her and softly laid her down on her bed.then he unzipped his trouser and took it off.he continued kissing her from her neck he moved to her breasts and licked and sucked them passionately,Candy couldnt take the pleasure as she started moaning softly,she put her hand on her p***y and started rubbing herself as she received his kisses.Gabriel slowly came down with his kisses and moved Candy's hand from her p***y,replacing it with his tongue,he slowly licked her cl****is and she started breathing heavily

Anyone with eyes could have seen that Nathan still loved Mercy but she was too blinded by her love for Gabriel to see it.all she could think about was how her world would come crushing down if Gabriel left her because of her past.
Nathan didnt want to confuse her more by confessinjg to her that he still wanted her so he just watched in silence while hurting inside.

Wait! What ....? Someone please explain to us what just happened 😳😳

Gabriel had set up everything,he took Mercy out to dinner to a fancy restuarant and as they sat eating,he cleared his throat and started
"Mercy..you are the most beautiful woman i have ever laid my eyes up,and even without makeup your beauty shines through.you are so caring,the way you care about your family is a thing to be admired....i may have been confused before but now i know that i am in love with you,and i wanna spend the rest of my life with you"he told her as she became emotional,but all he was thinking of was Candy.he got down on one knee and got out the ring
"will you make me the happiest man alive by marrying me?"he asked
"yes yes yes"she said as she broke down in tears,he put the ring on her finger and they kissed and hugged while everyone in the restuarant applauded for them.
Mercy was over the moon,she had been waiting for this day for so long and now it had finally come.
The next day she went to share the great news with Nathan who was now renting a flat in town.
"congratulations"he told her quietly
"you dont sound happy....aren't you happy for me?"she asked.
"of course i am sweety,but have you told him? You know the issue of kids always brings confusions...you might wanna tell him sooner rather than later"he said as he sat down next to her
"i know,i know.....its just that,i dont wanna lose him Nathan...i really love him and i know if i tell him i am gonna lose him and i'll be the laughing stock of our community"she said as she broke down in tears.Nathan held her in his arms as he comforted her.
"you know it will be worse if he chases you after marriage....atleast before marriage you can make up a false reason to tell people"he suggested to her.and she knew he was right,but it was just too difficult for her to give up everything,to give up a blissful life with Gabriel.
Gabriel was not himself anymore,everyday he would think about Candy,he would wonder what she was doing or who she was with and what she was wearing.at times he would find himself smilling to himself upon remembering what she had said before.
Candy wanted to move on,to forget about Gabriel and get on with her life.for the past two months she had cut off from her life of drinking clubbing and sleeping around.one day Kate invited her to go to church with her,she could see her sister was struggling emotionaly.
When she went there,Candy sat at the back.she was silent as she heard the preacher go on and on about the lost son and repentance.Candy silently walked out of the church before the sermon ended,she got home and locked herself in the bedroom,got on her knees and started crying
"am so sorry God for blaming you.....i thought you had abandoned me but i never called out for your help,you were waiting for me to tell you i needed you but i never prayed to you......please forgive me for making you out as the bad guy....who knows if it wasnt for your protection and Grace maybe i could have died because of the life i led,and who would have taken care of my family then?.......but you cared and you protected me,never giving up on me,just waiting for me to come home......well father am home,am home and am sorry,please forgive me and take me back like the lost child"she cried and prayed and cried until her tears couldn't come out anymore.she later fell asleep soundly,she was home.
Candy and Gabriel never communicated after that sunday afternoon incident,she thought about him from time to time but she never reached out.
His wedding had finally arrived,his was getting married on saturday morning.Mercy hadn't confessed her past yet.
Gabriel was becoming restless that friday evening,he couldnt handle it anymore.so he got in his car and drove to her place,he had to see Candy one last time before he got married for eternity.he reached her place around 19:00hrs,when he arrived Kate and her mum were just leaving for an overnight prayer meeting.she told him Candy was in her room designing shoes and wedding gowns,she had finally decided to follow her dreams.
Gabriel knew where her bedroom was,he slowly opened the door,he was nervous but he just had to see her one last time

Episode 13

After talking for hours Gabriel and Candy fell asleep where they were sitted,when they woke up it was past 21hrs and Gabriel couldn't let Candy go home so she slept there. Early morning Gabriel invited her to church
"come on Grace,come with me.."he begged
"and what am i supposed to wear?am sure your church pals will be disappointed to see me in this dress"she said to him.
"ok ok...wait,i have a dress....in my room...its new,you can wear it"he said to her
"a dress?what are you doing with a dress?"she asked as she followed him upstairs to his room.
"i got it for Mercy.....but you can have it,i'll get her another one"he said as he handed it to her.
It was a beautiful red dress,he also handed her the shoes which he had bought to go with the shoes.
"wow doc,you've got great taste.."she said to him as she looked in the mirror
"you look beautiful"he said as he admired her.
She looked flawless,like a model in a dress which was made specifically for her.

After the church service,Gabriel met up with Mercy and they stood talking outside the church.
Candy saw Nathan as he stood staring at them
"they make a cute couple right?"said Candy as she stood besides him
"yeah,they do"he responded as he turned to look at her.
"she's your crush?"she asked with a smile
"my ex...." he answered with a smile,"he your crush?"he asked
"oh please,am too old for that...."she said as she laughed
"friend?"he asked again
"nah...he's a familiar stranger..."she responded with a mischiveous smile.
"am Nathan.."he said as he extended his hand
"Grace..."she said as she shook his hand
"nice meeting you Grace,cute smile"said Nathan
"thanks,its nice meeting you too"she responded.
After that Candy excused herself and went home.

Mercy also went home.
"hey,i saw Nathan at church"said her cousin Mary
"yeah,he's back "responded Mercy
"you still in love with him?"asked Mary
"what?..no.....i love Gabby and i would never leave him for anyone...Nathan and i are just friends"she said in response.
"ok,just wanted to be clear"said Mary

That same sunday night Candy decided to go out,it had been weeks since she went out. So she went clubbing and as she was busy shaking,winding and rolling (wa-wa-wa😂) on the dancefloor she felt a man come up behind her. The man slipped his hand round her waist then whispered
"I thought you were a church girl..am disappointed"
Candy turned around and came face to face with him,it was Nathan.
"well my good man,that makes the two of us..i thought you were a church boy...but disappointment is part of life"she answered with a smile.
"i try to be a good boy....but sometimes i stumble"he smiled back showing his dimples."since we are both here alone,why dont we get drunk together?"he suggested.
"i love that idea.."she responded as he took he took her by her waist and led her to the counter.

Mercy was trying to call Nathan cause they had agreed to meet up later and chat but he wasnt picking up so she got upset and went to see Gabriel instead.
He was in his bedroom so he invited her in. As she came in looking around,she saw a dress on top of his washing basket,it was the summer dress Candy had left behind.
"Gabby...who's dress is that?"she asked as she went and picked it up.

Episode 12

"so doc....what are we cooking?"asked Candy
"i was thinking pasta...and?"he looked at her for her input
"beef stew,i love beef stew"..she responded as she got a pack of beef from the fridge and passed it to him
"ok....then we can put a salad on the side......potato,fruit or vegetable?"he asked as he put the beef in water.
"maybe a vegetable salad..."she answered.
"alright...here,you can cut"he said as he handed her a cabbage and a chopping board.
They started cooking and chatting,he prepared the pasta and she prepared the beef stew and salad.
"here,taste this..."said Candy as she fed him the stew.
"wow.....you are a great cook....i would have never guessed"he said as he smiled at her
"well doc,like i said....am the one who takes care of my family....started cooking when i was ten years old"she told him as they got the food and walked to the dining room.
"what juice would you like? Apple orange or grape juice?"he asked as he opened the fridge in the dining room
"how about some red wine?"she asked in response
"oh come on....cant you just have some juice?"he asked
"ok doc....i'll have juice if you have wine"she told him with a stare. He stood in silence then said
"please Grace not alcohol..."
"isn't it what you take as christ's blood at church?"she teased, "come on...just one glass"she insisted
"fine,i'll have one glass of wine and you'll have juice.deal?"he gave in
"its a deal"she said as they sat down and started eating.

After Bible study Mercy went to the market to buy some foodstuffs for supper. as she entered a grocery shop she ran into her ex.
"Mercy!?Mercy!...wow,you look beautiful"he said as he hugged her
"Nathan...hey! You dont look bad yourself,"she said as she hugged back
"so,when did you come back?and why didnt you tell me?"she asked him
"well,i came back this morning...and i wanted to surprise you "he said to her.
Nathan and Mercy had been dating from grade eleven. After writting grade twelve Nathan was taken to south africa by his father,he did his college education there,and because of the distance they had to separate.

Gabriel and Candy were now sitted on the carpet in the sitting room and were leaning on the couch.
"so,tell me doc,what made you become a doctor?"she asked as she ate the popcorns they had popped
"well,i was raised in a christian home...so i thought,while helping people know christ so that he can heal them spiritually,why not heal them physically so that they can be healed completely? So i became a doctor"he explained to her. "And you?what did you wanna do?"he asked
"oh doc,thats the past..my ambitions died when i was fourteen."she told him.
"oh just tell me,before then you had dreams"he insisted
"i wanted to help people have magical weddings....i wanted to design shoes,wedding gowns and to do makeup and hairstyling......just so a lady can look so beautiful and feel like a princess even if its just for a day...i mean who doesnt wanna be a princess?"she explained as she drunk her juice and he drunk the wine
"thats so beautiful Grace,you should do it....i mean you have enough money right?"he asked
"yeah...well,i will think about it,maybe some day"she answered.

Mercy and Nathan chatted for a while then exchanged numbers promising to call and catch up.

Episode 11

That saturday came and Candy went to meet Gabriel,she was in a simple summer dress,not tight but short and slippers. She reached his place around 9hrs and found him in the pool swimming. It was the first time Candy ever saw him without his shirt on.
"Damn doc....nice body!...didnt know you hit the gym"she said as she stood looking down on him
"i dont go to the gym,but thanks"he responded with embarrasment as he got a rob and put it on.
"shall we?"he asked leading her inside.
They sat in the livingroom.
"so doc...whats up?"she asked as he handed her the wine and a glass."thanks"she said and opened it while he was drinking juice.
"i just wanted to find out more about you.....by the way whats your real name?cause no sane zambian mother would name a child Candy"he said looking at her.
Candy smiled and got up,she walked to his home theater and put on some music
"Its Grace doc.....my real name is Grace...."she answered him
"oh,thats a beautiful name...why dont you use it?"he asked
"well doc,my life has been anything but graceful so i dont see the point of using it"she said as she got back and sat next to him.
"but surely your parents thought about the grace of God when they gave you that name"he commented
"grace?what grace?.....i was only 14 years old when i started taking care of my family. My mum went blind my dad was crippled for life,and the only surviving relative who was willing to help was murdered by robbers. Where was the grace of God when all these things where happening? Weren't we good enough for him to care about? I was only a kid and yet he watched me sell my body so as to fend for my family. Why didnt he show his grace and send help?"lamented Candy as she became emotional and started shedding tears.
Gabriel got closer and held her as she cried on his chest.
"God works in mysterious ways ....but he has never forsaken you. He is waiting for you to call upon him and tell him you need him. Look at Job in the bible,he suffered too but God's grace and glory later manifested"he consoled her
"please spare me doc,Job didnt have to sleep with 40year old men at a tender age of 15 to provide food. And its easy for you to say,you have never struggled before,your parents were always there attending to your every need"she said as she got up and walked to the window.
It was now raining heavily and she started feeling cold. When Gabriel noticed this he got his rob and went to cover her with it.
"thanks.....but you will now freeze to death"she said without turning to look at him,he silently went upstairs to put on something warm. When he came down she was back on the couch,he sat next to her and offered her coffee but she refused and kept on drinking her wine.
"look Grace, i am not saying i understand what you went through cause obviously i have never been through that,but what am saying is..try getting to know Jesus and his purpose for your life. God loves you so much he can never make you suffer,its satan who brought suffering....."as he kept on preaching to her she put her head on his laps,she was now drunk and she shortly fell fast asleep.
He couldnt move her,she looked so comfortable,he couldn't help stroking her hair as she slept.Candy naturally had long hair and since she kept treating it,it sometimes looked like weave.

When it was around 14hrs and Candy was still asleep,Gabriel got his phone and texted Mercy
"am sorry dear,i have been held up..wont make it for bible study and wont be able to see you tonight"he said in the text.
Mercy was a bit disappointed but she understood that his job kept him busy.
When Candy woke up at 15hrs she wanted to leave but he wouldnt let her
"come on Grace,you haven't eaten anything....lets go in the kitchen and cook something"he insisted
"so you are now calling me Grace huh?"she asked as they walked to the kitchen
"yes,its a beautiful name and i love it...."he replied
"I see....."said Candy as she opened his fridge."what are you cooking doc?"she asked
"what are we cooking?....take anything you feel like eating from there...we are cooking together"he said as he smiled at her and she smiled back.

Candy and the doc are about to be romantic "familiar strangers", how do you think is the weather for Mercy?

Episode 10.

As it was finally friday Mercy prepared herself,she wore a long beautiful skirt which complimented her figure nicely. She looked gorgeous ,the ideal wife. After the prayer meeting Gabriel took her to his house so that they could talk.
"so,Mercy..have you thought about the issue we discussed last time?"asked Gabriel as they sat having coffee.
"well,yes i have.....and my answer is yes,"she finally said as Gabriel smiled broadly.
"oh thank you Mercy....you just made me the happiest man alive" he said as he hugged her.
They were both happy as they sat chatting and laughing.
Gabriel had never really been in a serious relationship. But he intended to take care of Mercy like a queen he thought she was. Two weeks into their relationship and everything was perfect,Gabriel had never been happier in his whole life.

For those two weeks Candy had just been at home recovering from her head injury. She had blacklisted John upon thinking he was the one who had just drop her by the hospital and abandoned her there.
A few days later she found that they had no food in the house so she decided to go grocery shopping. As she was strolling round shoprite in her short blue jean skirt,simple flat shoes,a white t-shirt and a black hood,she saw Gabriel,he was with Mercy.

They were holding hands and smiling at each other
"Hey doc....!"called Candy.
"Candy....hi....how are you?"he asked as he looked at her.
"am good,how have you been?"she asked as she looked at Mercy who was watching in silence
"am great......how is your head?"he asked
"oh that....its now better thanks"she replied.
There was a moment of silence then Candy broke the ice
"Hi.."she said as she extended her hand towards Mercy"how are you?"she asked
"hello..."said Mercy shaking Candy's hand.
"doc,is this your lady?"asked Candy smilling at Gabriel "she's cute"said Candy
"oh,forgive my manners.....Mercy this is Candy....Candy meet Mercy my girlfriend"he introduced them.
"nice to meet you Mercy"said Candy
"likewise......are you Gabby's friend"asked Mercy while looking at how Candy was dressed
"oh i wouldn't really say friends....more like a familiar stanger"she answered still smiling
"oh,i see..."was all Mercy could say
"well,it was nice meeting you Mercy...and doc,it was great running into you,bye now"she said as she turned and went her way.
Chat Real vall on zero eight zero thirty fifty-five twenty twenty-four to be added to his whatsapp group.
"how do you know her?"asked Mercy as they watched Candy walking away
"her father was my patient....and i once stitched her up when she got injured"he explained.
"did you see her dressing?i mean who walks around in public dressed like that? She needs serious help and prayers"commented Mercy
"yes she does...."said Gabriel as he turned and took Mercy's hand leading her away.

That night Gabriel kept thinking about what Mercy had said about Candy,she needed help. After thinking about it for like an hour he decided to reach out and offer help to her. He had her number in her father's medical file,her number had been listed as the emergency contact number. So he got the line and after three rings Candy picked up
"hello..."she answered sounding sleepy
"hi Candy,this is Gabriel...did i wake you up?"he asked
"oh hey doc....i was just resting a bit....whats up?"she asked
"well,...i was wondering.....would you mind meeting me for a chat one of these days?"he asked nervously cause he had no idea how she would react
"huh...not at all doc...what do you wanna talk about?"she asked curiously
"basically about you"he told her
"about me?what about me?"she was now suspicious
"well,you will find out when we meet"he said to her
"ok,fine doc....when do you wanna meet?"she asked him
"how about saturday morning?.....at my house"he suggested
"thats fine doc...but if you are gonna talk about me i better find a bottle of wine,cause i dont have such chats while sober"she said as she hang up the phone.
Gabriel just smiled and shook her head,but the next day he went out and bought a bottle of red wine. He put it in the fridge in preparation for saturday's chat with Candy.

Is Mercy just unlucky or she just puts it up on herself? And what do you think will come out of the famous Saturday talk?🤔🤔
