Display of Preliminary Register of Voters for the 3rd phase CVR for Claims and Objections.

The exercise which commenced today, Tuesday August 4th 2026 is expected to end on Monday August 10th, 2026.

Registered Voters during the 3rd phase of the CVR are advised to visit our LGA offices to verify their details/Polling units and also object to any wrongful inclusion in the displayed Register.

Claims and Objections exercise for the concluded 3rd phase CVR will commence on Tuesday August 4th, till Monday August 10th, 2026 at the INEC LGA Offices from 9am to 3pm.

Come out and confirm that your details were correctly captured and also Object to any erroneous inclusion of underage persons, foreigners or dead persons in the Preliminary Register of Voters.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

EXTENSION OF THE ONGOING 3RD PHASE CVR EXERCISE AND THE NEW REGISTRATION TECHNOLOGY.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Rivers State wishes to inform the general public that the ongoing 3rd Phase Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, initially scheduled to end on July 10, 2026, has been extended to Sunday July 26th, 2026. The exercise will now hold each day of the week including Saturdays and Sundays between 9am -3pm at the various INEC State and LGA offices in Rivers State.
The approved extension is aimed at ensuring that all eligible Nigerians, particularly those who recently attained the age of 18 years, are given ample opportunity to register and participate in the democratic process. Those seeking to transfer, replace or update their voter’s registration details are also encouraged to take advantage of the extension by visiting cvr.inecnigeria.org.
The Commission is also pleased to inform the general public that effective from Wednesday July 8, 2026, fresh registrants can now start and complete their registrations online without visiting an INEC office.
We therefore wish to reiterate our commitment to ensuring that every eligible Nigerian participates in the democratic processes as we prepare for the 2027 General Election.
