FOSSIL FUEL FREE FUTURE
The effects of Climate Change is real and all around us with severe impact on our communities.
Here in Nigeria, currently we have our river banks overflowing causing floods that have displaced over a million people, hard working families, creating environmental refugees.
Roads and bridges are under water cutting off deliveries of fuel, agricultural produce, medicine and numerous goods and services that are vital to the economy.
Yes, we do strive for a Fossil Fuel Free Future but with emphasis on sustainability. I am passionate and working hard with key captains and drivers of the climate action community from across the globe, building up to the United Nations Climate Summit, COP 27, in Sharm el-Sheikh to perfect local, national and global economic models that if we invest X amount of money and cut back by Y amount of fossil fuel then the economic outlook or scenario is Z.
We need to further dot our i's and cross our t's harnessing our collective vigilance backed up with action to ensure that a Fossil Free Future graduates from slogan to reality.
With Utmost Humility,
Rt. Hon.Ahmed Munir
