Joseph Oberhiri was born into the family of Odjevwedje of Ehwerhe Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, on the 22nd of July 1947.
He attended both his Primary and Secondary schools in Agbarho. Okpan Arhibo like he was fondly called was a professional driver and a musician. In his early stage in life, he joined the Edigbe Emagha musical group which was at that time, a leading Urhobo musical group in Agbarho. Although, the Edigbe musical group did not last for long and that perharps, made Oberhiri came out with his own musical group which he staged named Okpan Arhibo, a name that almost took over his real name Joseph Oberhiri Odjevwedje.
Joseph as at time of creating his own group, was a driver of the Delta Steel Company (DSC), Ovwian-Aladja. A Company he worked with for years, until he resigned to face active showbusiness as a Urhobo traditional musician.

Eberhirhi made waves from the 70s all through the 80s to the 90s. He was conferred a chieftain title as a Chief during his sojourn while still alive.
Amongst his hit songs are; Kono Juwe, Urhobo mẹ jevwe, zabu zabu, etc.

Okpan Arhibo took ill and died after battling with kidney related sickness on the 22nd of March, 2022 and since be buried.

EHWERHE

Ehwerhe is one of the fifteen communities of the Agbarho Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.
The other communities are: Ikweghwu, Orhokpokpo, Ohrerhe, Ughwrughelli, Oguname, Oviri, Uvwiama, Uvwiamuge, Okan, Oghara, Ophori, Ekrerhavwen, Oko-erhavwen, and Oko-ufuoma.

Ehwerhe land area is about 90 square kilometers and is blessed with a period of downpour which lasts for seven months (from March to October) and a relative five months of little or no rains (from October to February). It has two main quarters, eleven streets and roads, (namely: Urhuvwu-alaka, Urhuvwu-onogbo, Urhuvwu-eke, Idado, Idjerhe, Egodo rode, Orhoawanre, Umuruvwu, Urhuvwukpokpọ, Urhuvwugba, and Ọmọko) and it is surrounded by streams, ponds, and other Agbarho village communities, including .

It is an hinterland bounded by and on the North; , Ophori and villages all in Agbarho, on the East; on the West by and ; and Orho Agbarho the headquarters of Agbarho Kingdom on the South. The entire Ehwerhe land is flat and situated in evergreen tropical zone which dominated by oil palm and rubber trees.

Ehwerhe people speak one tongue ( ). They do not frown at intra-marriage and neither do they not smile at inter-marriage which enhances integration.

Ehwerhe is divided into two administrative quarters which are:- and . And the "Ọkaorho" is the head of the community, in the absence of the Osuivie of Agbarho Kingdom. The people of Ehwerhe are mainly farmers and traders.

Ehwerhe has since the 80s had Government owned Primary School and Secondary School (Ehwerhe Grammar School-EGS). There is also government owned hospital, electricity, pipe-borne water supply, and tarred streets and roads.

Ehwerhe people have two major festivals namely: (Egbenekaba) which is celebrated annually and (Ekuẹbe).
