The prolonged detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, despite multiple court rulings in his favor, is no longer just a legal matter but a moral burden on the conscience of our people.
Where are our voices? Where are the Igbo intelligentsia, the statesmen, the clergy, and the business leaders? Silence in the face of injustice is complicity. This is the time to speak with one accord, not just for Nnamdi Kanu, but for the dignity of our people.
Let us not pretend that peace and reconciliation are optional. They are indispensable if we are to rebuild trust, heal wounds, and strengthen our union as a nation.
We cannot continue to alienate or marginalize genuine voices calling for equity, fairness, and justice. Doing so will only widen the cracks in our national fabric.
This is the moment for collective courage,
If the elites, intelligentsia, and leaders of our region do not rise to the occasion, then we risk betraying not just Nnamdi Kanu but the hopes of millions of our people who look up to us for guidance and protection.
