AKWA IBOM STATE PROGRESSIVE YOUNG WOMEN FORUM STORM MBO LOCAL GOVT
It was an impacting session on Monday, as the AkwaIbom State Representative of the Progressive Young Women Forum, Ima-obong Uboh, stormed Mbo Local Government Area for a mobilization, sensitization and registration tour.
In her address, Uboh expressed her gratitude to the National Secretary of the APC, Sen. John Udoedehe for nominating her as the state representative "of such a high profile Forum." She commended the National Woman leader, Hon. Stella Okotete for such a great initiative, geared towards the political inclusion and social development of young women. She added that the APC woman and by extension, the Nigerian woman is proud to have Hon. Stella Okotete.
Uboh, reiterated the political/social empowerment vision of the PYWF, founded by the National Woman Leader which is to nurture young women's political aspirations, support young women candidates for political offices, empower young women in office to mentor and be mentored by women in politics, humanitarian services and businesses.
The Akwa Ibom State representative stressed the need for women to register in the ongoing INEC registration, actively participate in the political processes in their localities, aspire for political offices, support other women's candidature and submit themselves to mentor and be mentored by successful women in politics, humanitarian services and businesses.
