BIOGRAPHY CITATION OF MR IDE OWODIONG-IDEMEKO.
Born in June 11, 1968, Mr Ide Owodiong is an accomplished Human Resources Practitioner, Personnel Coordinator, Manager, Political Scientist and Administrator.
He attained the Birch Freeman High School, Surelele, Lagos State where he obtained his GCE (1978-1983). He proceeded to study in the prestigious University of Uyo for a double honour B.Sc in Political Science and Public Administration between 1983-1987. He also went for an M.Sc in Comparative Politics in the University of Ibadan, Oyo State where he erged as the best graduating students in his department with a distinction in his Master's Thesis. He is also an alumnus of the PeopleSoft University, Reading, U.K.; Insead School of Business, Fontainebleau – Paris, France; and Thunderbird School of Global Management, Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
According to the Great-man Theory of Leadership, Mr Ide Owodiong-Idemeko is a born Leader. He has served in many Leadership positions right from his university days. He served as the Pioneer Clerk of Students Union Congress now (Senate) in 1986 and first elected Secretary General, Students Union Government 1986-1987 all in University of Uyo. He is also the first National President, University of Uyo Alumni Association (1988). He is the Coordinator of (1001 Plus Voices Initiative for People Empowerment) and has occupied a lot of leadership positions especially in ExxonMobil.
Mr Ide Owodiong-Idemeko is a 21st century topnotch Manager and Administrator. He started his career in Academics as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration between 1988-1990, in University of Uyo. It was after his sterling Academic record at completion of his M.Sc in University of Ibadan that ExxonMobil employed him to do great exploits through the various positions he has served in the company and currently as the General Manager, Security and External Relations.
