BISHOP CYRINUS AKPAN FOUNDATION SENDS FORTH PIONEER COUNSELOR INTERNS
The Bishop Cyrinus Akpan Foundation has successfully concluded a six-week internship programme for its pioneer set of Counselor Interns, marking a significant milestone in the foundation’s commitment to mentoring and capacity building.
The interns, who spent six impactful weeks within the foundation, demonstrated remarkable dedication, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility throughout their engagement. Their time at the foundation was characterized by active participation in counseling activities and community-focused initiatives.
Representing the President, Lady Ann Sagbe, the Secretary, Mrs. Ekaette David, addressed the interns during the send-off ceremony. She expressed profound appreciation for their commitment and diligence, encouraging them to sustain the same level of excellence in their future endeavors. She also offered prayers for their continued growth and success.
In his remarks, the Operations Manager, Tchr. Odudu Ekan, reaffirmed the foundation’s unwavering support for the interns. He emphasized that the doors of the foundation remain open to them at all times, urging them to feel free to return, connect, and contribute whenever possible.
Also speaking at the event, Board of Trustees member and Patron, Obong Mike Akpan, commended the interns for their hard work and resilience. He wished them success in their academic pursuits and future careers. As a gesture of encouragement, he presented souvenirs to each of the interns.
In a heartfelt show of appreciation, the Counselor Interns, led by their representative, Counselor Mfoniso, donated two cartons of disposable sanitary pads to the foundation. The donation is in support of the foundation’s forthcoming PAD A GIRL CHILD PROJECT 0.3, aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene and supporting young girls in need.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Captain Udori one of the interns expressed deep gratitude to the foundation for providing a peaceful, engaging, and enriching learning environment. He described the six-week experience as both transformative and memorable, and assured the foundation of the interns’ continued support and willingness to contribute in any capacity.
The send-off ceremony concluded on a note of celebration and mutual appreciation, reinforcing the foundation’s mission of impacting, empowering, and transforming lives.
