_Bayelsa Health Commissioner Celebrates NG Coordinating Minister, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, at 58_
The Bayelsa State Ministry of Health, under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Prof. Seiyefa F. Brisibe, felicitates with the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, CON, on the occasion of his 58th birthday.
The Commissioner describes Prof. Pate as an accomplished physician, reformer and dedicated servant of the people whose leadership has continued to contribute significantly to the transformation of Nigeria’s health sector.
Prof. Brisibe commends the Coordinating Minister’s efforts in strengthening Primary Health Care delivery, expanding health insurance coverage for vulnerable Nigerians, reducing out-of-pocket healthcare costs, and improving access to quality maternal and newborn services across the country.
He also applauds the ongoing renovation and establishment of Primary Health Care Centres across the nation, as well as the Minister’s strategic leadership and partnerships driving the Nigerian Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative and the Sector-Wide Approach.
According to the Commissioner, these reforms are helping to strengthen Nigeria’s health system, save lives and improve health outcomes for millions of Nigerians.
He further congratulates Prof. Pate on his recognition among the TIME100 Health Most Influential People of 2025, describing the honour as a testament to his impact and commitment to global health.
Prof. Brisibe, on behalf of the Bayelsa State Ministry of Health, wishes the Coordinating Minister continued good health, wisdom and greater accomplishments in service to Nigeria.
