Marital Documents (for married women)

2. VERIFY THAT ALL INFORMATION TALLIES
Before departure, carefully confirm that the details on your documents correspond correctly, especially:
Full Name

Course of Study
Institution Attended
Date of Graduation
Passport Photograph
State of Deployment
Any discrepancy should be reported through the appropriate channels before camp registration.
3. TRAVEL EARLY AND PLAN PROPERLY
PCMs are encouraged to commence their journeys early enough to avoid unnecessary rush, fatigue, or late arrival at camp. Proper planning reduces stress and promotes safer movement.
4. AVOID NIGHT TRAVELLING
For your safety, kindly avoid travelling late into the night. If night falls while on transit, it is advisable to break your journey at a safe and reputable motor park, hotel, or security-approved location, and continue the next morning.
5. COMMUNICATE ONLY WITH IMMEDIATE FAMILY OR TRUSTED GUARDIANS
While travelling, communicate your movement only to your parents, guardians, or trusted relatives. Avoid sharing your travel details, camp location, or personal information with strangers or suspicious individuals to prevent security risks and fraudulent tracking.
6. FOLLOW OFFICIAL DIRECTIONAL VIDEOS AND NAVIGATION GUIDES
As many of you may be travelling to unfamiliar locations, kindly follow official directional videos and verified travel guidance provided through NYSC platforms.
PCMs are also encouraged to make proper use of Google Maps and other trusted navigation tools to locate camps and important transit points safely.
In case of necessity, you may contact the state to which you are deployed for proper guidance to avoid being stranded unnecessarily.
For those coming to Adamawa Orientation Camp, you may contact the admin of this platform or any known NYSC officials for assistance.
7. BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS
Do not pay money to anyone promising relocation, camp posting adjustments, accommodation reservations, or special treatment. NYSC processes are official and transparent.
Always verify information through official NYSC channels.
8. KEEP EMERGENCY CONTACTS HANDY
Before departure, save important phone numbers, including:
Parents/Guardians
NYSC Help Lines
State Secretariat Contacts
Emergency Services
Ensure your phone remains charged throughout your journey.
9. DRESS DECENTLY AND TRAVEL LIGHT
PCMs are advised to dress responsibly and travel with only essential luggage. Properly label your bags to avoid mix-ups or loss during transit.
For those arriving in Adamawa State, members of the NYSC Editorial and Publicity CDS Team will be available at the park from 8:00am – 6:00pm (on shift) to warmly welcome and direct you to camp.
10. MAINTAIN GOOD CONDUCT
Remember that you are ambassadors of your institutions, families, and the NYSC Scheme. Be respectful, law-abiding, disciplined, and security conscious throughout your journey and during the Orientation Course.
11. PRIORITISE YOUR HEALTH
Carry personal medications where necessary and maintain proper hygiene throughout your journey. Stay hydrated and avoid consuming food or drinks from suspicious or unsafe sources.
12. CULTURAL CARNIVAL
You may wish to come along with your traditional attire (optional) for the Cultural Carnival, where you will have the opportunity to proudly showcase your cultural identity and heritage.
CONCLUSION
The NYSC Orientation Course marks the beginning of an important national assignment and a life-changing experience filled with learning, service, unity, and personal growth.
As you embark on this journey, let safety, discipline, responsibility, and patriotism guide your actions at all times.
We warmly wish all 2026 Batch “B” Prospective Corps Members a safe trip, successful registration, and a rewarding Orientation Course.
