Senator Amos K. Yohanna Distributes 2,000 Bags of Fertilizer to Farmers in Adamawa North Senatorial District
Mubi, Adamawa State— 19th August, 2026
The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Senator Amos K. Yohanna, has announced the distribution of 2,000 bags of fertilizer to farmers across the Senatorial District, as part of his continued commitment to improving agricultural productivity, strengthening food security, and supporting the livelihoods of rural farmers.
The fertilizer distribution is designed to provide timely agricultural inputs to farmers and enable them to increase their crop yields, reduce production constraints, and contribute more significantly to food production within the district and beyond.
Speaking on the initiative, Senator Amos K. Yohanna ably represented by the APC Zonal Chairman, Northern Zone, Hon. Stephen N. Doma, he reaffirmed his commitment to practical interventions that directly improve the lives and economic prospects of the people of Adamawa North.
“Agriculture remains a critical pillar of our economy and a major source of livelihood for our people. By providing farmers with essential inputs such as fertilizer, we are investing not only in this farming season but also in food security, economic empowerment, and the future prosperity of our communities.”
The fertilizer distribution represents another significant intervention by Senator Yohanna in the Senatorial District. It comes in addition to the ongoing construction of examination halls across Adamawa North, aimed at improving the learning environment and supporting students as they prepare for important examinations.
According to the Senator, the combination of investments in agriculture and education reflects his broader vision of empowering constituents through initiatives that address immediate needs while laying the foundation for sustainable development.
“While we support our farmers to produce more food and earn better incomes, we must equally provide our children with an enabling environment to learn and excel. The construction of examination halls and the distribution of fertilizer are therefore part of a broader commitment to human capital development and community advancement in Adamawa North,” Senator Yohanna stated.
The fertilizer will be distributed to farmers across the Senatorial District through an organised process intended to ensure that the agricultural inputs reach genuine beneficiaries and are put to productive use.
Senator Amos K. Yohanna further expressed his appreciation to the farmers and communities of Adamawa North for their continued support, assuring them that he remains committed to pursuing initiatives that promote agricultural development, education, youth empowerment, infrastructure, and improved living standards throughout the district.
The Senator called on beneficiaries to make effective use of the fertilizer and encouraged farmers to continue playing their vital role in strengthening food production and the local economy.
