The ED IAR Prof M F Ishiyaku delivering an address at the IAR research station Minjibir, Kano during the Seeing is Believing tour of the TELA Maize hybrids evaluation for resistance to stem borers and fall army worm. Prof Ishiyaku called on Nigerians to embrace modern Agricultural technology for improved livelihoods and disregard calls from people who have no knowledge of Science and genetic engineering, dissuading Nigerians from accessing the benefits accruing from such technology.
He stressed that IAR in it's 100 years of experience in research has continuously churned out research results and technologies relevant to our clime.
The ED urged the Nigerian Media to partner with IAR in enlightening the Public on the benefits of adopting technologies developed and released for the common good of Nigerian farmers.
