At North Star Alliance, our mission is to provide hard-to-reach populations with sustainable access to high-quality health services. Today more people than ever are mobile, crossing borders for work, recreation or safety. Beyond the reach of traditional health systems, people on the move, like truck drivers and sex workers, are more vulnerable to illness and play a pivotal role in transmitting dis

ease between communities and across borders. With their mobility impacting their access to health services, we thought: if they canโ€™t get to healthcare, then healthcare needs to get to them. Our โ€œBlue Boxโ€ approach to healthcare breaks down the social barriers of traditional health clinics, providing key populations with primary healthcare services from Blue Box clinics. Our pioneering model provides an affordable and effective solution for bringing primary healthcare and HIV intervention to hard-to-reach populations, a key population group within the UNAIDS 90-90-90 Fast-Track strategy to Ending AIDS by 2030.
