INHOPE is the global network combating online Child Sexual Abuse Material. Report on our website! Join us in the fight!

INHOPE is the leading global network combatting online Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). The Network consists of 54 hotlines in 50 countries (as of January 2024) that provide the public with a way to anonymously report illegal content online with a focus on CSAM. Reports are reviewed by content analysts who classify the illegality of the material, which is then shared with local Law Enforcement

Agencies and a notice and takedown order is sent to the relevant Hosting Provider. We support hotlines and their partner organisations through training, setting high quality standards and best practices for hotline operations, and ensuring staff welfare. We provide the hotline network with a secure platform called ICCAM that facilitates the exchange of CSAM reports between hotlines and INTERPOL. INHOPE promotes legislative and policy developments that support our vision of an internet free from CSAM. INHOPE is based in the Netherlands and our member hotlines operate across six continents: Africa, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North and South America. In a borderless digital world CSAM has global consequences and as its distribution grows so do our efforts. This is only possible with the support and funding from the European Commission, Safe Online, NEO Philanthropy Foundation and INHOPE’s corporate partners.

The Safer Internet Centre Moldova, operated by Centrul Internațional „La Strada Moldova”, visited the Romanian Safer Internet Centre, operated by Salvati Copiii Romania, for a two-day exchange of practices on protecting children online.

From how Hotline analysts handle child sexual abuse material (CSAM) reports and protect their own well-being, to cooperation with law enforcement, education and the implementation of the Digital Services Act, the visit offered a look at how different parts of the child online protection response can work together.

Why does this kind of exchange matter? Because online risks cross borders - and sharing what works helps strengthen the response everywhere.

Financial transactions can provide important leads in cases of financially motivated child sexual abuse. They can help identify suspicious activity, trace funds and support investigations.

But a transaction is only one piece of the picture. Turning that signal into action depends on how effectively financial platforms, law enforcement and other sectors can share information, respond to leads and work across different systems.

Safe Online's Grantee Highlights 2025 report is out! 🌍

The report highlights the work of organisations around the world working to strengthen child protection - from developing national policy frameworks and using AI to support victim identification, to improving how child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is classified and reported.

We’re pleased to see INHOPE’s work featured through our international training on Schema content classification, helping hotlines and industry partners build a more consistent approach to identifying and responding to CSAM.

The internet doesn’t stand still.

New technologies emerge. New forms of abuse appear. Different platforms, different behaviours, different challenges. Our response has to keep evolving too.

That's one of the reasons we come together at the INHOPE Summit. It's a chance to compare what we're seeing across countries, learn from one another's experiences, challenge our thinking and explore new approaches to online child protection.
