Exciting news everyone! At long last, 3D Printing has arrived at the Brunssum Library! We have a Bambu Lab H2S with a heated build bay with a maximum print size of 340 x 320 x 340 mm (13.4 x 12.6 x 13.4 inches) and multi-color printing capability, as well as the ability to work with advanced materials.
Here's how the process will work:
First, find or design a model: Browse free libraries like MakerWorld.com, Printables.com, or Thingiverse.com—or design your own on Tinkercad.com.
Then, submit your request: Email your .STL, .3MF, or .STEP file to [email protected] with your color choice and any special instructions.
Next, you'll need to approve your quote: We will slice your file and reply with an estimated print date and exact price quote for your approval before we hit print. Our pricing is designed to keep community printing accessible and fair, covering basic material costs and machine time. Most prints will run between €2 and €10.
Finally, pick up & pay: Once finished, pick up your item at the library front desk. (Payment is due upon completion; card only).
We plan to expand the range of colors and materials, but if you want to get a print started ASAP, we currently have basic PLA in gray, mistletoe green, and brown. When we get new materials and colors in, we'll post an update!

Lawful & Personal Use Only: The library’s 3D printer is provided solely for educational, recreational, and personal non-commercial use. Patrons agree not to use the service to produce items for commercial resale, mass distribution, or unlawful purposes.
Intellectual Property & Licensing: Patrons are responsible for ensuring that all submitted 3D files comply with applicable intellectual property, copyright, patent, and licensing terms (including personal/non-commercial Creative Commons licenses). The library acts solely as a self-service fabrication provider and assumes no responsibility for third-party file rights.
Cost-Recovery Fees: Fees collected cover only consumables (filament) and machine operating expenses. The library does not sell or license the underlying digital designs or finished objects.
Safety & Refusal of Service: The library reserves the right to decline any print request that violates base security or facility regulations, constitutes a weapon or weapon component, violates intellectual property rights, or is deemed unsuitable for library equipment.
