In the framework of the planning process of the revised Joint Logistics Support Plan, JLSG Brunssum organized a wargame with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

The aim of this event was to increase the common understanding of the JLSG’s tactical plan and to identify outstanding work strands.

The expertise of all participants and the constructive discussions have taken the plan to a higher level!

This event also emphasized the importance of coordination and integration with other HQ’s.

Last week, Deputy Chief of Staff Support (DCOS Spt) of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, Major General Nicola Mandolesi, and JLSG Brunssum Commander, Brigadier General Vit Watroba, had their maiden visit to NATO Force Integration Unit Latvia to emphasize the importance of the NFIU’s and their crucial role in the regional plans.

JLSG Brunssum is participating in exercise 2026!

’s largest exercise this year and the first large-scale peacetime deployment of the Allied Reaction Force (ARF) to Central Europe.

Led by Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, 2026 will demonstrate the operational and strategic capabilities of the force and other participating units, integrating land, air, space, cyber, maritime, special operations forces, and JLSG ARF!

From 21 to 22 January, JLSG Brunssum hosted the ninth edition of the Joint Logistics Support Group Brunssum (JLSGBS) and NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU) Commander’s Conference (JNCC-9).

The conference offered an opportunity for all commanders to discuss thoroughly internal procedures, sustainment and NFIU specifics in order to further evolve towards a warfighting HQ.

DCOM of JLSG Brunssum, Colonel Christian Reichtert, and Branch Head Plans, Colonel Lucy Anderson, are currently visiting the Baltic NATO Force Integration Units (NFIU’s) to get a better view on how the NFIU’s operate and the challenges they face. At the same time, they will brief the NFIUs on recent developments within the JLSG Brunssum.

EX STDU25 – successfully completed!!

NATO’s largest computer assisted exercise for the year 2025, completed on 29 October, leaving several thousand NATO personnel more experienced and well-prepared to fulfil their future missions.

For the exercise purposes, JLSG Brunssum staff members were supported by 36 augmentees from 14 different nations coming from various NATO structures or national defence forces.

Under simulated, high-pressure conditions the participants demonstrated exceptional professionalism, cooperation and the high level of JLSGBS’s readiness to enhance the Alliance’s logistical coordination capabilities.

At the end of the exercise the Commander of JLSG Brunssum appreciated the dedication of all participants to the success of the exercise, which demonstrates the commitment of all member nations to NATO and collective defence. As he stated “My gratitude belongs to all of you who came from different parts of the world, to help us and to share your experience. We were lucky that you came. I hope that you will take away valuable experience, new memories, contacts and moreover, friends for the future!”

During Exercise , JLSG Brunssum had the honor to welcome Brigadier General Ionel Vlasie, Commander of our sister HQ – JLSG Naples.

For the exercise purposes, 10 augmentees from JLSG Naples have strengthened various positions across different branches of JLSG Brunssum.

During the visit, Brigadier General Vlasie emphasized the high professional and personal skills of his staff. This was confirmed by JLSG Brunssum Commander Brigadier General Vit Watroba as he stated his appreciation for “dedication and professionalism of the JSLG Naples augmentees who supported the exercise”.

Although we come from different headquarters and units, have different nationalities and backgrounds, our goal remains the same – to defend each other and protect the values we all share.
