In light of this week being Israeli Apartheid week in which several great people and organizations have organized events to raise awareness on the crimes of apartheid and genocide that Israel has been committing against the people of Palestine we hereby invite all people of conscience to join this sunday's anti apartheid protest in Groningen!

Ceasefire or not, we keep showing up until Palestine is free, because we all know peace is not achieved with a ceasefire. This is only the first step. We say “No peace on stolen land, and no peace without justice!”.

Join us this Thursday in a march around Groningen followed by a sit-in in front of an institution that is very stubborn in their support for genocide and for the genocidal zionist entity.

Last night, the activists of freedomflottilla bringing aid to Gaza were illegally abducted by Israel. All communication with them has been lost.

Join us tonight at 8PM at the Grote Markt to demand the freedom of the activists, that aid be allowed into Gaza, and the end of the genocide.

For two years now, Israel has been using hunger as a weapon of genocide. Thousands are being killed by starvation, and no aid is being allowed into Gaza. We must continue to take to the streets and demand immediate access for humanitarian aid.

Boekpresentatie van “Uittocht naar Gaza” van Fatena Al-Ghorra, dichter en journalist. De schrijfster gaat in gesprek met Lejo Siepe, bestuurslid van Groningen-Jabalya en onafhankelijk journalist.
Fatena Al Ghorra is geboren in Gaza. Zij werkte voor nieuwsagentschap Wafa. In 2009 is zij gevlucht. Zij woont in Antwerpen en heeft sinds 2016 de Belgische nationaliteit.
Na vijftien jaar slaagt zij erin haar familie in Gaza te bezoeken. Als drie dagen later, op 7 oktober, de hel losbarst, wil ze haar bejaarde ouders niet achterlaten. Onder een Israëlische bommenregen vluchten ze halsoverkop, haar moeder op blote voeten, naar het Al-Qudsziekenhuis. Dat wordt hun schuilplaats. Met twaalfduizend anderen blijven ze er bijna een maand. Terwijl Gaza in een ruïne verandert, zit Fatena op haar kleine vierkante meter in een gang op de vierde etage van het ziekenhuis: zonder privacy of licht. Het boek “Uittocht naar Gaza” bestaat uit brieven geschreven aan haar nichtje Lamar. Daarin beschrijft zij de dagelijkse realiteit onder de Israëlische genocide tegen de Palestijnen .

Monday the 7th of October we are coming together to protest the ongoing Genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, the Zionist occupation and apartheid state and the bombings by the Zionist entity on Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iran.

This protest's objective is to make it clear to the people that the injustice of the Palestinians has been going on for decades. That it did not start on Oct 7th. That the Netherlands is directly complicit in the deaths of the estimated 180.000+ deaths in Gaza and that it must end now!

Earlier in the day there is also a walkout action at the RUG at Bisan square at 11.00, which can be found elsewhere on our page. Please go there and also join this protest, which starts at 17.00 on Grote Markt and will arrive at the train station at 18.00 and continue there as sit-in.

We are stronger in numbers so please come with as many people as you can. Bring posters, flags, kufiyas and protest boards or printed pictures of martyrs.

Israel has been bombing South Lebanon for ages.
Israel recently committed the terrorist pager attacks in Lebanon,killing 12 and injuring over 3000!
Mere days ago flattened an entire residential building in Beirut, murdering at least 45 people in the process and wounding dozens more

NOW they have increased attacks on Lebanese civilians, already murdering over 275 (already 175 more than at the time of creating this post)

This is the biggest attack on Lebanon and its people since 2006!

The Israeli war machine must be stopped now!
The Genocide must stop now!
The war crimes must end now!

Spread the word and all come to the protest on Grote Markt tonight. Bring your kufiyas, friend, family, and Lebanese and Palestinian flags!
