Walk the Block. Start on the DakAkker rooftopfarm in Rotterdam Central District. Last weekend June 6 + 7 during the Rotterdamse Dakendagen. Bridges, stairs and platforms connect 12 rooftops (!) of the Schiekadeblock. Into the building, onto the roof, out of another building! Here you will find unique views that will soon no longer exist. The Dakakker, our 1,000 m² rooftopfarm on the Schieblock officebuilding downtown Rotterdam Central District, wants to expand onto the adjacent roofs. This involves an expansion of 2,300 m² (!). A new roofscape on the roofs of the Delftsestraat officebuildings, connected to each other by stairs and bridges. De Dakakker, een 1000 m2 grote dakboerderij op het Schieblock aan de Schiekade in Rotterdam wil uitbreiden naar de naastliggende daken. Het gaat om een uitbreiding van 2.300 m² (!). Een nieuw daklandschap op de daken van de Delftsestraat die via trappen en bruggen worden verbonden met de DakAkker en de toekomstige daktuin op het Volkshotel (hoek Delftsestraat / Delftseplein). The head chef of restaurant OX selects the tastiest herbs, vegetables, and edibleflowers together with rooftopfarmer Wouter on the DakAkker rooftopfarm. OX is one of the restaurants we supply.
