Minister of State for International and Road Transport, Logistics, Rail and Ports, Seán Canney, TD () rounded off a series of bilateral meetings across the EU with Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Vincent Karremans () in The Hague. This productive bilateral meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss key priorities across the EU transport agenda in advance of the Ireland’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union 🇪🇺🇮🇪

They were delighted to meet and have insightful discussions with members of the Leiden based Irish bioscience community. Deputy Head of Mission, Kieran Houlihan was honoured to attend Amsterdam’s GAA’s first ever ‘Sláinte Supper’ in Café Americain to present medals to the triumphant Amsterdam hurlers on their recent Leinster success! Well done to Amsterdam GAC Chairperson, Eimear Lafferty and the organising committee, and thanks to Edward O’Callaghan and his team on a really enjoyable evening 🍀

A beautiful day for celebrations in The Hague! Ambassador Derwin was honoured to raise a flag on behalf of EU Embassies at ’s ceremony at the Hofvijver this morning. She also enjoyed the opportunity to visit the stunning new ‘Europa Experience’ in the city centre today, which provides an opportunity to learn more about the EU, its structure and decision-making through free, immersive and interactive resources 🇪🇺

Today, Ambassador Derwin attended the ANZAC Day Commemoration at Westduin Cemetery in The Hague, remembering those who lost their lives in World War I and subsequent conflicts. May the memory of their loss continue to inspire our work for peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha dílse.
