🌱 Building healthier soils and stronger food systems

Abhishek pipaliya founded Jeeva Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. (Formerly NextGen Biotech) with a clear ambition: to provide clean, residue-free fertilisers that support sustainable food production and healthier soils.

From its facility in Ahmedabad, India, the company develops innovative plant nutrition products free from sodium, chloride, heavy metals and harmful residues.

As demand grew, Abhishek saw opportunities to expand into new international markets and launch Growwa, a consumer brand for urban and kitchen gardens.

Working together with PUM expert Eric van 't Hoff, Jeeva Chemicals sharpened its marketing strategy, strengthened its brand positioning and developed a clear roadmap for growth.

Today, the company is better positioned to reach new customers, create jobs and contribute to more sustainable agriculture in India and beyond.

In collaboration with PUM expert Jos van Doren, the company developed a clear roadmap for more stable growth and stronger supply chain management.

Through field visits, strategic sessions and practical analysis, Jos assisted the SAFL team in improving quality control, supplier relationships and export reliability. The goal for 2026 is ambitious but clear: scale up towards one export container per week while building a stronger foundation for future growth.

Together with PUM expert Robert Wijdeveld, Prachi Marketing strengthened the technical skills of solar installers, partners and students through hands-on training in solar system design, installation, safety and commissioning.

The collaboration not only improved the quality of solar installations, but also created new opportunities for local youth. More than 25 participants completed the programme, and several students have already found employment in the growing renewable energy sector.

By investing in local knowledge and clean energy, Prachi Marketing is helping accelerate Assam’s sustainable energy transition. 🌍

At the Ebenezer Agricultural Training Centre in Matabeleland, young people gain hands-on experience in dairy farming, poultry production and crop cultivation while developing entrepreneurial skills for a future in agriculture.

Through the PUM–Sondelani partnership, PUM expert Tom Adams collaborated with the training team to introduce more interactive and practice-based teaching methods, connecting classroom learning more closely to daily farm activities. The project also focused on strengthening digital learning through the Hamara platform.
By combining education, practical farming and digital innovation, Ebenezer is creating new opportunities for the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs in Zimbabwe. 🌾

In Gyumri, the Caritas Aregak Foundation is creating real job opportunities for people often excluded from the labour market. Through the Aregak Bakery and Coffee Shop, young adults with disabilities gain skills, confidence and meaningful employment.

With support from PUM expert Bert Steehouder, the bakery strengthened its production by improving baking techniques and introducing new products. The result is better quality, a wider assortment and growing customer interest.

Beyond baking, the foundation is expanding into sustainable agriculture through Green Aregak, linking social impact with new market opportunities.

At the end of April, the PUM Impact Award 2025 was officially presented in Bali to PUM client .roni ni and PUM representative Theo Vermeulen. Made Tea had already been announced as one of the six winners during the Impact Awards ceremony on 10 December 2025 at the PUM office in The Hague. During his recent visit to Indonesia, Country Manager Gérard Wolbert handed over the award in person.
Made Tea proves that women-led entrepreneurship and sustainability go hand in hand. Built on natural farming and a strong commitment to women’s economic independence, the business has grown rapidly with support from PUM experts and the Hans Blankert Fund.

Through expert guidance, Made Tea strengthened production, improved branding, scaled up tea bag production and expanded into international markets, including the United States.
