As part of the commemorative activities for the 75th Anniversary of Philippines-Netherlands relations, the Embassy of the Philippines, in close collaboration with the Filipino Scholars in the Netherlands (FiSch NL) Network and the Leiden University – International Institute for Asian Studies, invites the Filipino-Dutch students, scholars, academicians and those interested to attend the roundtable event “Filipino Scholars in The Netherlands and Global Research Futures.”
Co-supported by LeidenGlobal and the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden (RMO), the event will be held on 18 September, Friday, 12:00 to 4:00 PM, at the RMO Rapenburg 28, 2311 EW, Leiden, followed by a reception from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M. at the Herta Mohr Building Lobby, Leiden University.
The program will feature two panel discussions featuring presentations from Filipino scholars based in The Netherlands who are working across diverse disciplines and research areas in different universities, as well as institutional leaders, businesses and civil society organizations, among others. The panelists will present their respective research experiences and perspectives on Philippine-Dutch related scholarship, aiming to explore possibilities for transregional and transdisciplinary research, collaboration and knowledge exchange.
