In his opening remarks, H.E. Dr. Dren Doli, Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to supporting the families of missing persons and honored the resilience of those rebuilding their lives after conflict.
Ms Kathryne Bomberger, ICMP Director-General, reflected on the organization’s three decades of work and its continued efforts to help account for missing persons while strengthening human rights and the rule of law.
‘Hive’ movie, directed by Blerta Basholli, is an internationally acclaimed, triple Sundance Award-winning drama inspired by the true story of a woman in post-war Kosovo who, while searching for answers about her missing husband, brings together the widows of her village to rebuild their lives through courage, determination, and solidarity. The film offers a moving portrayal of loss, resilience, and hope, and serves as a powerful reminder of the human dimension of missing persons issues and the enduring strength of those left behind.
After the movie screening, the event concluded with a reception and networking moment.
The evening saw the participation of several Ambassadors and distinguished members of the diplomatic community, as well as representatives of Dutch institutions, international organizations and members of the Kosovo-Albanian diaspora.
