February 22, 2011 the website www.scoutingforboysroundtheworld.org has been launched.

‘Scouting for Boys ‘round the world’ offers a global overview of editions of Baden-Powells’ book Scouting for Boys and through this initiative, you can become aware of the global legacy of Scouting and its shared values. The project ‘Scouting for Boys ‘round the world’ provides information about Baden-Powell’s book ‘Scouting for Boys (1908) and a global overview of editions, which over a century a

fter it’s publication, still inspires guides and scouts with their adventures and development in all over the world. So far over 460+ different editions from 60+ countries in almost 50 different languages have been discovered and listed in a database according to the International Standard Bibliographic Description. This website provides information about editions of Scouting for Boys worldwide, as well as the possibility to upload information about new and unknown editions. August 2021 the world catalog Scouting for Boys ‘round the world’ has been presented during the 42nd World Scout Conference and is available via the website www.scoutingforboysroundtheworld.org

🌍✨ A Historic Moment in Scouting

Today, 118 years ago, B.-P. released Part 6 of Scouting for Boys — “Scouting Games, Competitions and Plays.” From that moment on, a worldwide movement took shape… and the rest is history.

🎉 Happy 53rd birthday today, Scouting Netherlands!

Today we also mark 49 (!) years since the 10th and final Dutch edition of Scouting for Boys was published (see photo 📖).

So… when can we welcome the 11th edition? 👀✨
