#農曆七月，在台灣總帶著一層神秘的色彩。
傳統民間信仰中，相傳農曆七月「鬼門開」，來自另一個世界的「好兄弟」會來到人間。因此，人們準備豐盛的供品、點起香火，以「普渡」祭祀無主孤魂，祈求平安🙏👻
而農曆七月十五日的 #中元節，正是這個月份中最重要的日子之一。
有趣的是，在台灣，人們往往不直接說「鬼」，而是用一個更親切、也帶著敬意的稱呼——「好兄弟」👻🤝
從街坊巷弄前擺滿的供桌、寺廟裡裊裊升起的香煙，到基隆中元祭著名的放水燈，中元節不只有神秘色彩，也蘊含著 #慎終追遠、 #敬畏天地，以及對另一個世界的尊重。
所以，如果你在農曆七月來到台灣，看見路旁突然出現一桌又一桌的零食、泡麵、水果和飲料……
先別以為遇上了露天 buffet！😆
那些可是特別為「好兄弟」準備的。

The seventh month of the lunar calendar carries a special sense of mystery in Taiwan.
According to traditional folk beliefs, the gates to the spirit world open during this month, allowing wandering spirits to visit the human world. People prepare generous offerings and light incense as part of Pudu （普渡）rituals, offering food to wandering spirits and praying for peace and safety. 🙏
At the heart of the month is the Zhongyuan Festival （中元節）, observed on the 15th day of the seventh lunar month.
Here is an interesting Taiwanese cultural detail: instead of simply calling these spirits “ghosts,” people often respectfully refer to them as “Good Brothers”👻🤝
From tables overflowing with offerings in front of homes and businesses, to curling incense smoke at temples and the famous floating lantern traditions of the Keelung Ghost Festival, Zhongyuan is a festival filled with mystery, remembrance and respect for both the living and the spirit world.
So, if you happen to be in Taiwan during the seventh lunar month and suddenly spot tables piled high with snacks, instant noodles, fruit and drinks along the street…
Don’t mistake them for an outdoor buffet! 😆
