NATO CIMIC Centre of Excellence - CCOE This is the official page of the NATO CIMIC Centre of Excellence. It is a multinational spon As such the CCOE is a NATO accredited entity.

The CCOE is the champion for multinational CMI and CIMIC concepts and training & education in the context of current and future complex challenges foremost under NATO auspices. The CCOE is a multinational entity which is assisting NATO, its Sponsoring Nations and other military and civil institutions/organisations (like the UN or the European Union) in their operational and transformational effort

s in the field of Civil-Military Interaction and Civil-Military Cooperation. This implies that NATO policy, doctrine, processes and requirements provide the platform from which the CCOE effects evolve. Additionally, the CCOE is requested to widen its perspective in the direction of multinational context beyond NATO when dealing with other stakeholders in the civil and military arena. The CCOE is the NATO custodian for the NATO CIMIC Doctrine and the CCOE is now the NATO so called NATO Department Head for CMI and CIMIC Education and Training. In this context the key process supporter for the NATO Joint Force Trainer at ACT. In this capacity the CCOE has designed and implemented an holistic CMI and CIMIC landscape and the respective training products โ€“ ranging from levelling CIMIC courses to specialist CIMIC courses โ€“ all embedded in an integrated and modular build ADL context.

From 3-7 August, students, lecturers, and experts are working together on regional assessments and future scenarios across three syndicates:

๐ŸŒChina and the South and East China Seas ๐ŸŒ Russia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธThe Baltic region and NATO's Northern Flank

Organised for students of the University of Glasgow IMSISS programme, the programme combines expert talks, structured analytic techniques, intelligence analysis, scenario development, and intensive group work.

The week concludes with final presentations by all three syndicates, bringing together academic research and practical security expertise.

๐ŸŽ“ The last iteration of the NATO CIMIC Field Worker Course and the NATO CIMIC Staff Worker Course before the summer break has been successfully completed from 20โ€“31 July.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ The number of participants was a bit smaller with 18 students.

๐ŸŒ Together with the instructors we had 12 nationalities participating in the course with different perspectives on NATO CIMIC.
