🌍 New in Utrecht: Buddies Without Borders! 🤝

Are you an international or Dutch young person (18–30 years) living in Utrecht and looking to meet new people while making a positive impact?

Join Buddies Without Borders, a new project by the volunteer organization Serve the City Utrecht. This project connects international and Dutch youth through volunteering. Together with your buddy, you’ll discover the city, take part in meaningful activities, and build new friendships along the way.

✨ Meet people from different backgrounds
✨ Practice language skills in a fun and natural way
✨ Give back to the Utrecht community
✨ Make connections that go beyond borders

The project starts on September 22 with a kick-off event, followed by buddy matches and volunteering activities from September to December.

Supporting international LGBTQIA+ parents in Utrecht

Our partner Parenting Across Borders is organising a dialogue series for international LGBTQIA+ parents during the first 1,000 days of parenthood. This series offers a safe and inclusive space to connect, share experiences and support one another.

- Building and maintaining support networks
- Identity shifts and becoming a q***r parent
- Parenting across cultures
- Navigating the Dutch healthcare system
- Multilingual parenting

An evening that truly lived up to its purpose. Last week, we had the pleasure of being at the city gathering in the City Hall of Utrecht.

If you bring a diverse group of people from across the city together, put some delicious food on the table, space is created for open conversations, new connections, and shared perspectives. Although it was raining outside, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of energy.

It was inspiring to see how meaningful dialogue over a dinner can strengthen understanding and community ties. A great example of how Utrecht continues to bring people together in a positive and impactful way.

A great 904th birthday celebration for the city of Utrecht! 🥳
