ar with hikers and climbers, and the Norwegian Mountain Touring Association maintains a number of mountain lodges in the area, as well as marked trails that run between the lodges and others that run up to some of the peaks. The image from Gjende shows a cliff trailing down into the lake. At its base there is a popular guest house called Memurubu. The picture is taken from Gjendesheim, a starting point for hiking into the mountain range. There is a very popular trail along Besseggen that follows the edge of the mountainous range to the right, which it is named after. There is a National Tourist Route, the Sognefjell Road, from Skjolden to Lom and another road, the RV 51, from Gol to Vågå through the special area of Valdresflya.

🌄 Calling All Adventure Models for a Free Hiking Experience in Jotunheimen! 🌄

Are you and your friends or partner interested in modeling amidst the stunning landscapes of Jotunheimen? We are seeking a couple or a group of friends to participate as models in a photoshoot from August 15th to 19th in the breathtaking regions of Leirvassbu, Spiterstulen, and Galdhøpiggen.

This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a free hiking adventure while working with us to capture the beauty of Jotunheimen. As our adventure models, you’ll have your accommodation, food, and transport from Fagernes/Valdres fully covered.

Requirements:

- Time between 15th to 19th August
- Enthusiasm for hiking and exploring nature
- Comfortable with typical Norwegian trails
- Good outdoor clothing suitable for hiking

GALDHØPPIGEN (2469 m) is the highest mountain in Jotunheimen, Norway, Scandinavia, and the whole of Northern Europe. The goal of so many people who want to see "Norway from above". There are two relatively easy (if you are fit enough, have certain high mountain experience, and the weather is on your side) "normal ways" to get to the top.
A shorter and easier hike leads from the nearby mountain cabin, Juvvasshytta, but since it crosses the glacier, certain skills and equipment are needed. If you are not sure, definitely consider hiring a guide!
The second "normal" route to the top leads from the Spiterstulen tourist station in the huge Visdalen valley. This one is physically a lot harder, but easier in terms of technical difficulty.
No matter the route you choose, if you are lucky enough, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of this part of Norway.
