Today we want to celebrate all the women we work and co-operate with! 🌍✅

Every day, year after year, many of our partners are directly engaged in addressing the most important issues that women face globally.

This week, we are also present at CSW70 alongside the Norwegian delegation. We look forward to following all the important discussions and presentations throughout the week.

💭 What does real support look like for a young single mother?

Young single mothers in Uganda often face tough choices just to get by. What if they had the support to build a safer and more independent future?

Through a Post-Exchange project in Uganda, the Ruhama project supports young single mothers with

🌱 practical, hands-on skills,
🌱 small income-generating activities
🌱 close follow-up in their local communities 🤝

By learning skills they can use right away and building local networks around them, the women gain real income, stronger confidence, and more control over their own lives 👩‍👧✨

🎉 Eight projects receive Post-Exchange funding

We’re excited to share the results of the latest Post-Exchange call.

Out of 71 applications, eight projects have been selected for funding through the Post-Exchange grant scheme at Norec.

The projects turn ideas from international exchange into concrete local action and address key development challenges, including:

🩸 Sexual and reproductive health

👭 Women’s economic empowerment

♻️ Green jobs and recycling

👩‍🌾 Sustainable agriculture and food security

👨‍⚖️ Legal protection and prevention of violence

The projects will be implemented in Bangladesh, Madagascar, Uganda, Zimbabwe, India and Kenya.

Norec jobbar kvar dag for å styrkje internasjonalt samarbeid gjennom utveksling av folk og kompetanse.

Vi sender folk ut i verda for å lære, dele og bidra, og vi hentar kunnskap heim igjen. Dette skjer gjennom partnarar, fagmiljø og vårt globale nettverk. Direktøren vår leier dette arbeidet og skal sørge for at Norec står støtt fagleg og strategisk.
