The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Oslo had the opportunity to experience the Viking ship Draken Harald Hårfagre as featured in The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan.

Designed to accommodate 100 rowers, Draken Harald Hårfagre has sailed across the North Atlantic and is the world’s largest Viking ship sailing in modern times. A special work trip to Svalbard 23-25 June 2026, landing at the world’s northernmost airport. Honored to meet Governor of Svalbard, Mr. Lars Fause. We discussed the similarities of Indonesia and Norway’s archipelago, the climate change challenges, and potential cooperation in arctic research’s.
We also had the opportunity to visit KSAT, SvalSat and had an insightful discussion with Ms. Maria Melbøe, the acting station director, updating on the existing cooperation between Indonesia and Norway, and we continued by seeing the facility of KSAT.

Delegasi Indonesia yang dipimpin Duta Besar Teuku Faizasyah melaksanakan kunjungan kerja ke Reykjavik, Islandia (19 Juni 2026), untuk memperkuat hubungan bilateral Indonesia–Islandia.

Rangkaian agenda meliputi:

* Courtesy Call dengan Permanent State Secretary Kementerian Luar Negeri Islandia, H.E. Martin Eyjólfsson;

* The 1st Technical Consultation RI–Islandia yang menghasilkan kesepakatan untuk menyelenggarakan konsultasi bilateral secara berkala dan meningkatkan kerja sama di bidang geothermal dan perikanan dengan melibatkan sektor swasta;

* Dialog dengan mahasiswa Indonesia program S2 dan S3 di bidang sustainable energy dan geothermal;

* Pertemuan dengan Konsul Kehormatan RI di Islandia, Bapak Andrés Jónsson;

* Peninjauan pelaksanaan Warung Konsuler KBRI Oslo untuk mendekatkan layanan kepada masyarakat Indonesia di Islandia.
