Press Release:- Marking the 7th Anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral revocation of the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on 5th August 2019, the Embassy of Pakistan in Oslo organized a Seminar today to observe Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Day of Exploitation) at its premises.
Members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora, and Friends of Kashmir from Norwegian society attended the Seminar.
The Seminar was moderated by Mr. Muhammad Faraz, Counsellor for Community Welfare. The proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran. A documentary on Kashmiri people’s continued sufferings violations of their rights was shown to the audience. Later, Messages of the Prime Minister and President of Pakistan were read out to the audience. In compliance with Prime Minister of Pakistan’s directive, one-minute silence was observed by participants to mark the Youm-e-Istehsal in solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
The Seminar underscored the grave human rights violations, demographic engineering, and systemic oppression faced by the Kashmiri people under Indian occupation. Speakers paid tribute to the resilience and courage of the Kashmiris and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering diplomatic, political, and moral support for their legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination, in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions.
In his remarks, Chargé d’Affaires Mr. Muhammad Saleem Ullah Khan strongly condemned the ongoing Indian atrocities in IIOJK and urged the international community to hold India accountable for its human rights violations. He said that the lasting peace in South Asia could only be attained through the settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmir people.
A Dua was offered at the end of the Seminar for the success of Kashmiris’ freedom struggle from the illegal occupation, and the participants were served with tea and refreshments.

On Youm-e-Istehsal, Pakistan solemnly commemorates the seventh anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019, which sought to alter the internationally recognized disputed status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).

We pay tribute to the courage, resilience, and unwavering resolve of the people of IIOJK. Pakistan remains steadfast in its support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir just struggle for the realization of their right to self-determination, as enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
