No 6. līdz 12. jūlijam Norvēģijā notika Erasmus+ jauniešu apmaiņas projekts **“EmpowerNet – Digital Skills for YOUth”**, kurā kopā darbojās jaunieši no Norvēģijas, Gruzijas un Ukrainas.
Projekta laikā jaunieši iepazinās ar **medijpratību (Media Literacy), kiberdrošību un drošu digitālo vidi (Cyber Hygiene), kā arī digitālo līdzdalību un sabiedrības iesaisti tiešsaistē (Digital Advocacy)**. Iegūtās zināšanas tika nostiprinātas praktiskās darbnīcās (workshops), kur jaunieši ne tikai mācījās, bet arī sadarbojās, diskutēja un dalījās savā pieredzē.
Protams, Erasmus+ projekti nav tikai par mācīšanos. Ikdienā daudz laika veltījām komandas saliedēšanai – bija dažādi iepazīšanās uzdevumi (icebreakers), enerģijas aktivitātes (energizers), kā arī kultūras apmaiņas vakari, kuros tuvāk iepazinām viens otra valstu kultūru, ēdienus, tradīcijas un stāstus.
Neapšaubāmi šis projekts mūsu jauniešiem bija iedvesmojošs piedzīvojums. Tas deva iespēju ne tikai iegūt jaunas zināšanas, bet arī saprast, cik vērtīga ir iespēja satikt cilvēkus no citām valstīm, iepazīt citas kultūras un veidot draudzības pāri robežām.
Ceram, ka šī pieredze būs sākums vēl lielākai interesei par Gruzijas un Ukrainas kultūrām, kā arī iedrošinās jauniešus turpmāk izmantot Erasmus+ iespējas. Jauniešu apmaiņas projekti ir lieliska platforma, lai veicinātu starpkultūru izpratni, atbalstu un kopīgi veidotu nākotni. 🌍✨

Īpašs paldies arī **Erasmus+ ungdom ** par finansējumu un atbalstu, kas padarīja iespējamu šī projekta īstenošanu. Pateicoties šim atbalstam, jauniešiem bija iespēja satikties, mācīties vienam no otra, veidot jaunus kontaktus un piedzīvot neaizmirstamu starpkultūru pieredzi. 💙🌍

From 6–12 July 2026, **Latviešu bērnu skoliņa Oslo**, together with our partners **International Institute for Strategic Research (IISR – Georgia)** and **Informational Hub of Community Development (Ukraine)**, had the great honour of hosting the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange **“EmpowerNet – Digital Skills for Youth”** right here — in our beloved Oslo, Norway. ❤️
🌍 The project brought together 24 young people from Georgia, Ukraine and Norway to strengthen their digital competences and explore how to navigate today’s digital world more safely and responsibly. Participants developed practical skills in identifying cyber threats, critically evaluating online information, recognising disinformation and propaganda, and creating ethical digital campaigns that encourage safer online behaviour.
🧠 Through interactive workshops, simulations, teamwork and experiential learning, participants explored media literacy, fact-checking, OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence), cyber hygiene and social engineering. Working in international teams, they created educational digital games, awareness campaigns and short films addressing modern digital challenges.
🎙️ The programme was enriched by inspiring contributions from experts, including **Kaspars Veģeris (Latvia)**, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), who shared valuable insights about cybersecurity, digital threats and protecting ourselves in the online environment. Participants also had the opportunity to meet with a representative of the **Embassy of Latvia in Norway**, learning more about international cooperation, diplomacy and digital resilience.
💃 One of the highlights of the exchange was the **Cultural Nights**, where each national group shared their traditions through music, dance, food and stories. These evenings created unforgettable moments of connection, friendship and intercultural understanding.
🖼️ During **Oslo Day**, participants discovered Norwegian culture and history by visiting iconic places such as the Munch Museum, Vigeland Sculpture Park and Holmenkollen Ski Museum & Tower, gaining a deeper understanding of Norway’s identity and heritage.
🤝 We would especially like to highlight that the Norwegian team was represented not only by young people from **Latviešu bērnu skoliņa Oslo**, but also by young people from outside our school community. This created new connections, strengthened cooperation within our local environment and showed how diverse, open and supportive our Norwegian community can be.
✨ **“EmpowerNet – Digital Skills for Youth”** was more than a project about digital skills. It was a journey of learning, friendship, cultural exchange and empowerment. Together, we strengthened young people’s critical thinking, intercultural cooperation and active citizenship, helping them become more responsible, resilient and informed digital citizens.
The project was supported by the **Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir)** through the **Erasmus+ Youth programme**.
