Proper planning gives efficient marine installation progress on Aker BP’s Valhall PWP-Fenris project, which is one of the largest developments on the Norwegian shelf.

It includes a new central located PWP platform and an unmanned installation, approx 50km away from the center complex.

Last couple of months the pipeline & umbilical routes where surveyed and cleared. A new Fenris UI was installed as well as a 2km cooling bundle towed from Wick, the prep. camp. completed for the to be rerouted gas lift & export lines and the newly installed Production & MEG flowlines from Fenris cleaned and flooded.

Remaining this year is protection of the flowlines, planned to be completed before the end of the year.

Final phase of Alvheim mooring upgrade completed, this was a multiphase project over 3 campaigns. 12 lines upgraded with shortened top wire & new top chain.

VDMi provided technical & operational management and supervision during fabrication, transport & installation on behalf of the operator.
