Last week at the Arctic Frontiers conference, SDWG Chair Camilla Aviaja Olsen took part in sessions on overtourism in the Arctic and its effects on Indigenous livelihoods and integenerational capacity sharing connecting nature and youth organized by NordForsk and the CAP-SHARE project respectively ❄️

At the Greenland Science Week Conference SDWG Chair Camilla Aviaja Olsen took part in a session on the Kingdom of Denmark’s Chairship of the Arctic Council 🇬🇱🇩🇰🇫🇴 Camilla discussed the alignment of the Chairship program with the SDWG thematic focus areas, highlighting the importance of collaboration to strengthen sustainable development across the Arctic.

Apart from Camilla, the panel consisted of SAO Chair Kenneth Høegh, CBMP Co-chair Tom Christensen, and International Chair of the ICC Sara Olsvig. The session was moderated by the Kingdom of Denmark’s Head of Delegation to the SDWG Daniel Lyberth Hauptmann.
