Bardia Homestay is situated on the countryside close to Bardia National Park in western Nepal. We have five spacious twin rooms with double and single beds.

Each room has an attached bathroom with a hot shower, separated toilet, waterbasin, mosquito nets and a fan to keep you cool during warmer days. We have a laundry service and there is free WiFi 24 hours. We have a small dining-room where you can read books, play games and enjoy Nepali and Western food made from local fresh produce. A perfect place to experience the Nepalese way of living. You can

relax on the veranda or in the shade from the fruit trees. We also offer:
- Activities in Bardia National Park
- Activities to explore the countryside and meet the Tharu people
- Tours and trekkings in West Nepal (Rara National Park, Khaptad national Park, Shuklaphanta National Park and Karnali - Bheri river area.

Today is Raksha Bandhan in Nepal, a day celebrating the sacred bond of love and mutual protection between brothers and sisters. Traditionally, sisters tie a sacred thread around their brothers’ wrists as a symbol ot this bond.

But today, there is no room for celebration. We live far away from the flash flood affected areas, and thankfully our family is safe. Nevertheless, we are deeply shocked and saddened that Nepal is facing yet another disaster. Every Nepali knows someone, directly or indirectly, who has been touched by this tragedy.

Our thoughts are with all the families who have lost their loved ones, their homes and everything they held dear. We mourn the brothers and sisters who cannot be together today to tie the sacred thread that represents their love and protection.🇳🇵🙏😢

🐅 Today, on International Tiger Day, we celebrate great news from Nepal! 🇳🇵

Nepal's wild tiger population has increased from 355 in 2022 to 429 in 2026! 26% of these tigers live in Bardia National Park, where conservation efforts and community engagement are helping people and tigers coexist.

What a beauty. This young swamp deer (also called barasinga deer) with velvet antlers that are still growing, paused just long enough for a portrait!

The Mottled Wood Owl is well known for its tuftless ears and beautifully mottled brown-and-white feathers, providing the perfect camouflage among tree branches.We were lucky to spot this stunning beauty perched high in a tree, watching us with its piercing eyes.
