Join us for an exciting ski trip to Kashmir, not only do we provide comfortable accommodation and skiing facilities, but we also offer a range of skiing lessons tailored to various skill levels, led by expert ski instructors.

We are also thrilled to announce that we have collaborated with to bring you specialised avalanche courses, ensuring your safety and preparedness in the mountains.

16 Nights / 17 Days Package

Inclusions:

* 15 nights accommodation in Gulmarg on AP basis (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) in a private hut reserved just for our group!

* The hut includes 5 well appointed rooms with spacious dining hall. Each rooms will have triple sharing arrangements with attached washrooms, hot showers and AC for your comfort.

* Ski Gear: a pair of ski, boots & poles for 15 days.

* Ski Instructor: professional guidance for 10 days.

* 1 night accommodation in Srinagar on Premium Boat House on B&B basis prior to your flight to Kathmandu via Delhi

* All ground transfers on 4WD Jeeps in Kashmir (4-5 pax per Jeep)

1. Srinagar Airport to Gulmarg (1hr 30mins drive)
2. Gulmarg to Srinagar - Boathouse, Daal Lake
3. Boathouse, Daal Lake to Srinagar Airport next day
4. Gulmarg: 2 Round Trips everyday from Lodge to Gondola Station/Market on 4WD Jeep.
5. A day trip for shopping/sightseeing to Srinagar and back in 4WD Jeep.

Note: Flight tickets between Kathmandu (KTM) and Delhi are not included in the package. However, we can assist in arranging these flights by exploring the most economical routes. Interested participants are welcome to inquire further and proceed with bookings.

Hinku Valley & Amphu Labtsa Pass

If you want to experience the true wilderness of the and find solitude, you should definitely consider Hinku Valley trek. A pure and raw Himalaya experience.

Amphu Labtsa Pass, elevation 5,845m / 19,177ft is a glaciated pass covered in serac cliffs at the head of the Hinku Valley. It provides a way out of the otherwise relatively isolated valley. The valley is at 5,000m / 16,400ft and has several glacial lakes including the Panch Pokhri or Five Sacred Lakes. The Amphu Labtsa pass is crossed by climbers en route to Island Peak or Baruntse expeditions and involves technical mountaineering. The ice and rock summit is quite exposed and provides good views of Lhotse Shar, Island Peak and the Imja Glacier. The way down into the Imja valley on the other side of the pass involves abseiling followed by fixed rope descent. The approximate alpine grade of the Amphu Labtsa pass would be 'D'.

Splitboard Expedition October 2022

Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in the Himalayas of Nepal, not technical but known for its physical and mental challenges. Usually climbed from its North Eastern Glacier, it's a long climb with a gentle slope to the summit.

We started early from Khare 4,900m / 16,076ft which is a modern basecamp for Mera Peak. After Crampon point we started climbing on skins towards High Camp 5,900m / 19,356ft before the day of our summit push. There were few maize of open and hidden crevasses below high camp which we marked with the bamboo sticks. We spend the night in High Camp to prepare and reset for the summit push. Then the next day, we started early 02.00am to take advantage of the quite weather. The climb is gradual 10-20 degrees until the shoulder after there's a flat valley till a small peak of the summit. We reached the summit around 09.00am together.

The snowboarding was treacherous up top. Solid, uneven slabs surrounded by the pockets of pow. But just above the High Camp it started to get real nice. Then just after the High Camp the beauty of the glacier opened up for us. It was like 5-10" of fresh snow on rolling groomers.

A group of people from different parts of the world came together to achieve a common goal. To be able to succeed and be safe back, all it took was a great team effort. We as an organiser are very proud of what we've achieved together.

We met Dima on the Mera expedition back in 2019, where we had the opportunity to lead and assist him and his team throughout the journey. That year Dima couldn't reach the summit due to some technical problems but the rest of the team succeeded. This expedition marked the beginning of a strong bond between us.

Then in October 2022 after COVID Dima came back, we successfully reached the summit of Meera and completed one of the most technical high pass Amphu Lapcha together solidifying our partnership.

Again this year 2024 Dima returned for Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek for a more relaxing trek with his personal doctor demonstrating his unwavering trust in us as his trip organiser. We're deeply grateful for his belief and feel immensely blessed to have his support on my journey so far.

Looking forward to sharing more mountains together 🤙

Historic First Splitboard & Snowboard Expedition to Mera Peak 6,470m / 21,228ft October 2022, Makalu Barun National Park, Nepal.

We, Backcountry Nepal were a team of 5 people, three of us Tucker Hawkins (USA), Aaron Teague (USA) and Mahan Jung (NEP) were on Splitboards while the other two Dmitry Shmidt (RUS) and Mingma Tenzi Sherpa (NEP) were climbing.
